just came across an interesting study.

during brain scans, when people were asked how they felt about something, the same part of the brain was active as when they were asked how god felt about something.

when asked how other people felt about something, however, a different part of the brain was at work.. specifically, the portion of the brain that was active when asking people how god felt about things was the portion of the brain associated with self-referential thinking.... people are literally making god up in their own image as they go.

I really was just wondering about the brain and whether or not there were studies on it as far as how people worship, and what was "fireing in the brain" when that was happening for them. Really? It was just a random thought really. Then, here it was!

I reaearch ALL day long, and at the end of the day after I have read and read and read..........nothing compares to coming on JWN and everything I have spent the day to look up myself seems to appear here! I absolutely love it. There isnt a subject matter that hasn't been dicussed here, and we have all been through it. Just yesterday it was about Noah on jwfacts, things that cross my mind just seem to appear! lol Thanks for posting that,I appreciated it alot. OH, I dont post alot because this forum has some of the smartest people ever! If and when I can contribute, maybe I will. This is why they aren't Jdubs! You people are to smart to fall for that C@#P! Ya wake me up! sorry I didn't want or mean to steal your thread, just to give credit where it is due.

Literally? Unbelievable! I was just thinking about that today! Was wondering if there were any studies like this. It floors me how I can THINK about somethining..........then...........a thread. Thanks EP! This is why I don't post much....

i think with every year their are more and more newbies that identify with this site , would you like to say " hi ", if you have joined in the last 12 months ?.

does anybody have a graph of the numbers of newbies who have joined in say the last 5 years ?.

i think that would be interesting.
