so my husband (who was never a jw) saw a christian bumper sticker today and asked me if the witnesses have any.

i said no (not that i know of anyway) so here are a few he came up with.. 'honk if you're a zombie'.

i remember having been to a convention or a$$emby for however many days and when i came back i didn't want to go back to work/school because i felt on a buzz.. what was that all about????.

any ideas?

Funny, I was just talking to my husband about assemblies today (he was never a JW). My mom use to get on a 'high' for a couple weeks after and drive me crazy with things like 'Jehovah doesn't like that', or 'that music sounds demonized'. I always couldn't wait for the high to be over.

Had fun at the district conventions when I was a teen-ager, always would hang out with friends and go swimming at the hotel. When I was younger I use to get so excited when they would turn the lights off for the drama, but then they stopped doing that. I use to always crack up at my dad who would fall asleep during the first talk in the morning, lol. Thought it was so cool walking the corridors with my new dress on and talking to friends. Ahh yes, lots of little memories like that.

regarding worldly people, shows or toys?

etc...what quotes annoyed you the most?.

for me it was "well, you have to remember, they're worldly"... "don't trust anyone who isn't in the truth" "they may be nice but they are not friends of jehovah"... just a few to name.

How Long has it Been since you Last Attended Meetings and What Caused...

Last year was my last memorial, I won't be going this year. Don't remember my last meeting, it was 2-3 yrs ago. I was raised a witness, my parents were very loving and I got to do a lot more than some other witnesses my age, which I am thankful for. But the indoctrination was very real and there. I always tried to make an effort going to some meetings and the memorial through my 20's and some of my 30's. After learning ttatt about a year and a half ago, I was able to finally let go of all the fear and guilt I had and I knew I didn't want my kids to have that fear I had felt for so long, fear of armageddon which is unhealthy. I love the peace of mind that has followed, I am no longer torn inside which is how I felt for a long time. I am able to celebrate a birthday or holiday without thinking Im going to be destroyed. Just to live life without that fear, it's wonderful.

talking with my anionted mum she tells me how worried she is that our lovely cute grandaughter/neice sarah, 9 months, will have her head cut off by jehovahs angel at armagedon.

{my sister is disfellowshiped and i'm inactive former pioneer/servant 10 years} this sickens me.

i told her how jah loves "even the embroy" of an unborn child.

This is the kind of fear that keeps people in, it worked on me for a while after i had my first son. I remember my parents coming back from an assembly one day and telling me that I needed to get back to the meetings cause the door was getting ready to close like in Noah's day and then it would be too late for me and my son. I was so scared and in tears, I went to a few meetings after that but then I just couldn't do it anymore. Then after learning ttatt, it made me finally realize once and for all there was nothing to be scared of anymore.
