Thank you for the replies, I've enjoyed reading them and it's been helpful. I figured it was probably another scare tactic.

Is this the last chance for inactive and df'd ones?
by innerpeace inhi all, just wondering if there's anything going around about the elders receiving instruction from the society to give inactive ones and disfellowshipped ones one last chance to come back?
i ask because i have a still in family member that i received a message from, and urging me to go back.
the elders are apparently saying there is no time left.

Travel recommendations?
by stephanie61092 inhey guys.
i've decided that during this time of being dfed, maybe trying to get reinstated, i'm going to enjoy my time with myself.
that being said, i would like to do some traveling when the weather warms up across the us.

I don't know what was worse, watching this interview full of shite or listening to the robot audience clap after listening to this shite and going along with it. -

Anyone else like Radiohead?
by LoveUniHateExams inover the past couple of weeks, i've discovered the 'alternative rock group' radiohead.
of course, i've known of their name for years and years but never, until recently, bothered to check out their music.
i'm also quite a big fan of damon albarn and admire him not only for his substantial musical output but also for the different 'feel' to his songs - oasis, in contrast, seem to have just one beatles-esque style.

Feel so sorry for kids that have to sit through that drivel and are expected to pay attention, kids don't have the same attention span as adults. There's no Sunday school or any kind of fun activities, geez if you're gonna brainwash and indoctrinate them at least make it fun. -

Or Scar I should say, the big bad lion. It really does amaze me that there are ones who think an invisible lion is looking at them during their daily activities, whether naughty or nice

Watch out for Mufasa! I can't believe people can still look at these types of illustrations with a straight face, it's too funny. -

I had the same exact feelings when I went to a mass recently, they had someone read a letter from a charity explaining the need for donations, it was around the holidays. They then passed a basket around and if you were able to donate great, if not that was fine too, it wasn't pressured in the least. I was impressed that they were doing this for the community. Then later during the mass they had everyone shake hands with the people you are sitting next to and say 'peace be with you'. I thought it to be a pleasant experience, it was definitely much more positive than I was lead to believe growing up. -
