  The emotionally manipulative techniques JW families use.

  i am really disturbed by some methods that jw family members try and use to emotionally manipulate us back into the organization.. one of our fellow posters here has had a family member send several photos of them as a child either out witnessing, and at an assembly.. no words - just those pictures.. it seems such an infantile and manipulative technique to employ?!.

  do they think that we will all simply ignore the logical and factual reasons we no longer attend, just because we see some sentimental picture?

  do they not see that this actually may reinforce our understanding that we were raised as children in a high-control religious group where we had to please our parents.

  My sisters recently brought to my attention that the are going to miss me in the paradise. I just replied that big J will remove their recollections about me in the paradise so no big deal, actually they won't remember that the used to have a brother, I find it so stupid and funny haha. Truly JW families suck!!

  hi eveyone, my sis told me something like where will i be after that day.

  i couldnt realize at first what she meant, but i found this on net donald-trump-kim-jong-un-meeting-singapore-june-12/.

  i found her reaction so pathetic, but i think she is really sorry for me leaving.. so how to do you reply to jw family or generally when news about world peace comes out?.

  thank you all guys for your replies! She seemed really concerned lol. I am really sorry for all jw families who think their beloved ones will be destroyed just because they dont agree with their beliefs.

  i have a friend who got df'ed recently and he had a major role on a 5 min broadcasting film.

  the film was made before he got df'ed (obviously), so it wont be on air.

  as he told me it was to be on july or august program.

  i wondered about that when i heard garret loesch state that shortly before the tribulation the governing body would be taken up.

  .

  if this is the case, it seems like garret and the other seven would be there just in time to help out in the killing of billions.. i thought they used to say that some would survive armageddon before they were taken up..

  Hey guys, just completed the first season. Its a worth watching tv series about cults. My girlfriend is really angry with all the similarities meyerism cult has with jwdom lol. Do u think its inspired by jw? As an exjw i was taught that we belonged to something that had distinctive features setting that apart from others, but as I have observed all the kinds of cult share common features. What do you think? Do you know any similar cults to that of jw?

  How many anointed have come and gone; how many remain?

  just wondering if there is any data about how many anointed there were in say 1914, and considering most would have passed 'beyond the veil' already, are the jw's numbers adding up?

  we know there are more in 2017 then there were in 2016, but just where are we in the grand total column?.
