  i have.....got a set of gold-plated silverware for daughter and s-i-l (they already know, but don't know about individual gifts...heheheh)....jeans for my g/daughters and some karaoke cd's in the planning....don't know yet what i'll get for ol' crabby pants...(the ex that i'm watching over cause he's physically/mentally challenged from stroke)..... i like to get this shtuff outta the way early....can't stand that last minute hysteria...so..... how're yall doing with your plans for christmas?.

  with your subconscious trying to figure out these J.W.'s and the sexual predators in their midsts who are allowed to be there.

  HOMEWORK AND KIDS?

  is it me or....................do you think our children are being overwhelmed with all the extra homework they are recieving from school now?

  i have 2 kids.

  one being 15 and the other being 12. i just find that the homework load is so much, compared to when i went to school.i mean we are talking about at least 2 hours for my oldest son and 1-2 hours for the youngest.

  I think sometimes there is too much work to be done at home.Whenever I try to help my daughter with her work,she gets fusturated because I'm not doing it the same way as the teachers.I agree with there being too much cutbacks but I know its not easy trying to play teacher at home. There is so many times my daughter would bring home work,and she didn't have a clue what to do. I asked her if the teacher explained it to her.Her reply was,"no". I had to look at it myself and try to explaine it to her and how it was to be done.
