Bill Nye vs Ken Ham debate

did anyone else watch the bill nye versus ken ham debate?

it happened february 4, 2014 and just watched it a few months ago.

i thought it was interesting but must confess that i felt extremely embarrassed for ken ham.

I've seen Bill Nye lie about science when the facts were inconvenient. I'm not talking about opinion/belief differences, I mean flat out lies. Same goes for Neil deGrasse Tyson so I'll agree to the asshat assessment for both.

And Einstein.. He was more of a theorist than anything. Better than Nye for sure but still leaving much to be desired of a person to be called scientist. He appropriated much of others' work and still gets the credit to this day while still holding us back about a full century. At least he started to back-pedal on some of the nonsense in his later years but alas the damage is done.

Ahh the sad state of science. It would be funny if it weren't so truly awful.

I feel for anyone in any place that suffers severe injustice.

Having said that, if JW members in Russia would simply follow the bible and the way 1st century Christians operated then they would be left alone.

Let me elaborate:

JWs meet together with banned material and even celebrate their history of smuggling literature.

1st century Christians did not need more than scripture to practice their faith and even then the bible doesn't mention each of the members having a copy.

1st century Christians met in homes but just as with the Jews, there is no scriptural mandate to gather for worship, it's just a tradition of men. Some will take exception to this and point out "let us never forsake the gathering...." but this is a superfluous rendering which deserves its own post.

So in short, of you're a Russian JW, stay home, worship with your family, chuck all the JW literature including the bible and get a commonly accepted translation for that country ( or does the bible say to use JW bible only? Did I miss that verse?)

lastly, never look back. Now you're on your way to being a real Christian and leaving the persecution behind.

Black spirit, you can draw any inference you want but that does not make it logical or correct.

By your logic witches in American colonial times, pedophiles and murderers were/are all gods chosen ones.

Faulty logic is one reason why some people reject JWs.

I will give you my reason though: I oppose JWs because JWs steal lives.

Sometimes its a whole life, sometimes its some fraction. I don't expect you to understand that since it sounds like you are full of "zeal" (as You would say) but maybe one day you'll wake up to the truth and the truth will set you free.

For a good dose of truth, you should go watch the GB member Geoffrey Jackson's description of "led by holy spirit" in the Australian Royal Committee (ARC) footage - you can find it on YouTube.

Also watch the Australia branch reps LIE under oath in more ARC footage, also on YouTube.

And that's just the top of the iceberg! You should really watch all the JW/ARC videos of you can. it's alot, timewise, but you really get a feel for what the "leaders" are like.

If you're not disgusted, you're not paying attention.

I think what you see here is a small part of a massive SEO campaign. SEO (search engine optimization) comes in many forms but the goal is always the same: to get seen on page 1 on Google, Bing etc.

That movie is one of several bORG vids on IMDB. IMDB holds alot of authority in the eyes of Google. Each page of the JW movies on IMDB has links to the others, passing the "link juice" as they say, onto the next. Because at least one of the movies had a link to the video on the jw,org site, the juice gets passed on. This would be extremely high value links back to the bORG mothership.

the latest june 2018 jw-broadcast shows a small clip at the end where a group of jehovah's witnesses are standing in a field waiting to be captured by armed forces.

right behind them, a white horseman appears with a bow and arrow shooting at the armed men.

i searched on their site but couldn't find anything.

Well James I guess that's one way to look at it..I mean at least he got to spend a whole year with cuddly penguins.

That and he had 7 other ppl who he could get to clean up all the dung and such..I mean, that's the only reason they were spared. After all HE was the righteous one, why should he be the dung-slinger?

Eyeusedtobadub- they say he preached but there is only one line in the bible touching on that... "was a preacher of righteousness".... That could mean all sorts of things.. It doesn't mean, at face value, that he preached about the boat or rain or the end.... Or anything specific..

Smiddy - lots of stuff doesn't make sense.

The animals will stop eating each other because the earth will be filled with the knowledge of jah... Wait, so animals eating escort is because of human sin? Or maybe the animals shined by forgetting about jah? What about when Israel was being good and was filled with the knowledge, did they not eat escort then?

Does Satan control the abilities of animals to eat and digest each other? Including the shape/size of their teeth? And why only some animals eat meat and act violently? Do the plant eaters have that knowledge of god? If so, that would mean its genetic apparently... Which is a bit racist (specesist just doesn't have the same ring)
