@Viviane it's all about eliminating the possibilities. Ruling things out is a critical action of science. Where did u study?

I conclude evolution is guided
by KateWild inyour qualifications are way above mine so i'd love to hear more about the specifics of what you have researched and how that supports the existence of a deity.
k99, i am not really convinced that you're interested in my conclusions.

The hard and fast line folks crack me up.
A good scientist will consider all possibilities not just the ones convenient for him.
1. Do I think we will know what this charge was that began the proto-chaining of life in my lifetime? NO
2. Because we cannot define what this charge was does that mean God did it? NO
3. Can we be absolute in our resolve as to whether Evolution, Creation, Crevolution are the result of this charge without knowing what in fact it was? NO
Outside of item one which is simply my opinion, if you disagree with either 2 or 3 you're not being honest and only considering possibilities which fit your narrative.

Post votes rolled up to topics
by Simon injust an experiment to see if it's useful or not .... the likes and dislikes for posts are now rolled up to the topic so you can see whether a topic is mostly positive or negative (or maybe a battleground?).
with some 'decay' to the votes built in this might evolve into "most vibrant topics" based on more than just the number or recency of replies (ideally all will factor in).. ps: don't worry if some topic totals are wrong right now - i need to run a job to put some of them right..

I don't have a question. I gave a statement. simple proteins being charged RNA to DNA all center around an event to which caused the chaining to begin life.
I'm not asking you what that event was because no one in science to this point can or has. Hence it is a statement of fact as of the writing of this post.
Maybe that will change in our lifetime but I tend to doubt it.

But again I'm particularly interested in the concepts which caused simple amino acids to be charged resulting in proteins which begin chaining and building life.
That is what I wrote I can't make it any more clear than this. Without this explanation nothing is definitive!

@cofty I went into explicit detail. The reality as those on a definitive side of the fence don't like the answer. you expect absolutes out of others yet can't define what this event is and how RNA made the leap to DNA.
So if you don't like the answer of it cannot to date be explained then maybe you should tell us how this happened as I cannot define what scientists cannot define.

Server Errors / Forum Update
by Simon inoops, sorry about that - the last update caused a few server errors on some topics.
they should be ok now.. just rolling out some more updates to make things slightly quicker and lay the foundation for future improvements..

I asked on the instances because I noticed the lag at roughly the same time of day. I don't think the instances are it is the point.
On the server error, like yeah that happens. Is what it is.

@cofty I've already looked into this question extensively. There's simply nothing concrete hence for me personally I'm at an impasse.
At this point in very short my conclusion is if there is a God he/she is not likely to be as described in the bible.
I also don't feel you need the bible to believe or disbelieve in God/creation/evolution.
For me it is about that catalyst, until that is solved both are nothing more than theory. That mysterious event is the key that unlocks it all.
I will not likely see this unlocked in my lifetime. I'm perfectly fine with that.
There's far too much to enjoy in life and for us we're getting busy enjoying it!!!

It's as simple as this. You some how have to get from RNA to DNA. What's the catalyst? We don't know therefore it is impossible to conclude as fact one way or the other.
Spent months reading up on this and although I'm no expert I've put the time in. You categorically cannot conclude creation, evolution by creation, evolution or otherwise without knowing what event enabled RNA to become DNA.
Figure that out and you'll be famous.
