I've had enough..
by raven inso last night, after thinking "wow those pesky elders have finally left me alone, maybe since i skipped out on their jc invitation back on august 1st they've given up" wrong.. i go to check the mail and there's an envelope at my front door- lo and behold, another letter from from these elders.. why won't they leave me alone already?
i'll attach a picture of the letter.. again, same letter as the first one inviting me to a judicial committee on august 15th - and signed by all three elders.. should i just continue to ignore?
quite frankly i don't give a rats arse i've been enjoying life free from the mind control of the organization, and i just wish they would drop it and let me live life.. like i mentioned before, i am moving to a new home next week, the only reason these elders have my current address ( which happens to be over 100 miles away from the cong ) is because my mother gave it to them, after i gave it to her in confidence to forward me my mail.. so lets just say she won't be getting my new address... i don't have any contact with ones from this congregation (i'm an ex pioneer, so i'm sure if they've gotten word on what i'm doing, i must be satan himself!

I conclude evolution is guided
by KateWild inyour qualifications are way above mine so i'd love to hear more about the specifics of what you have researched and how that supports the existence of a deity.
k99, i am not really convinced that you're interested in my conclusions.

So funny ppl are lazy and simply don't read. please leave God out of it. I'm not concerned at all with that.
I don't give a flying F if a fuzzy galactic super bunny started it all or a craps like dice shoot by sheer happenstance,
doesn't matter my point is if you can't define that origin you cannot form a concrete opinion, an opinion based on what you know sure, but not an absolute one no one can.

Cofty let's not be coy here.
You know what I'm talking about here.
I'm not going to iterate the entire process but the theory is in very short we're talking about RNA and its condons translating to DNA (nucleotides NOT proteins not related) and the amino acid chaining.
If you have nothing better to do you can experiment with the translation of this process below:
http://www.attotron.com/cybertory/analysis/trans.htm
Let's not put words in my mouth nor act as though I'm uninformed I've pretty much had it with that noise, I'll simply ignore you.
I've already said what my position is and no Cofty you are categorically wrong. LUCA is not contrary to origin of life.
"We know a lot about LUCA and we are beginning to learn about the chemistry that produced building blocks like amino acids, but between the two there is a desert of knowledge," Carter said. "We haven't even known how to explore it." - Charles Carter PhD.
As Dr. Carter eludes the building blocks are what we're after. Even if we know about RNA, ribosomes the eventual chaining of the amino acids which result in proteins and ultimately DNA is very important.
So I categorically disagree with your statement. regarding LUCA.
The charge is what caused the chaining to start, what caused the biochemical reaction that resulted in amino acids chaining and building proteins. Not to mention there is a substantial jump from RNA to DNA itself.
Clear enough?
Now explain to me the charge what caused the event. Happenstance, God, a Leprechaun, a Martian how'd it happen?
If you can't explain that process you cannot say with anything definitive as to that early bacteria like RNA started chaining and ultimate became DNA.
If the "origin" were not important why the hell is everyone trying to solve it???
I will not respond to any post twisting words, done with that. Talk to me about what I describe or I'm not interested. You cannot make me or anyone believe what you likely cannot prove. If you can I'm all ears.

Complaining over post dislikes / downvotes
by Simon inlet's be clear: people have the right to like or dislike what they want - that is why the option is there.
as long as they are not doing it in a malicious way to retaliate or game the system, there is no policing the votes.
if you get a down-vote, live with it.

...if you think @simon is unfair there's simply no hope for you.
I've argued with him over guns told him his wrong according to my opinion on various things. Always much ado about nothing. In other words no on is talking about someone's mamma, wife children etc.
Simply debate. If your agenda is beyond reasonable respectful debate just move along...

They have no authority over you. So don't acknowledge it in any way. Plus sticking something in your door circumventing the mail system is invalid. If they want to send you something let them mail it and then take it to the post office and say return to sender that the addressee does not live there.

Viv, I'm confusing nothing. You are NOT the authority on the matter although you clearly believe you are. What's your degree in?
If the Origin of Life is not important why did Darwin spend so much time on it? Why did he write to is colleges about it in various letters.
I know you don't want it to matter because it is a problem for the Evolutionary theory but it absolutely matters.
Whatever it was (Primordial soup, Clay, Electricity, Panspermia...whatever) it absolutely matters.

Cofty offered to discuss RNA and DNA with you, yet you pretend no one would. Why?
I didn't see a discussion on the matter only links some of which I have already consumed.

1. Show me where I said "a theory" is a guess. In fact I said the opposite several posts back.
2. Show me where I "inserted" God in any of my posts. What I'm inserting is I don't know because we simply do not know "the charge" which caused DNA.
If you know what the charge is that caused RNA to become DNA again you'll get a Nobel Prize.
Not one person here has had a single prolific thing to say about this problem. Instead the de facto go to answer is to keep saying I'm inserting God when it has ZERO to do with that for me. Along with a bunch of other rhetoric that I never said.
No matter how many times I say it I see the same post over and over.
Now for the last time until someone shows me evidence of how RNA became DNA I don't know if it is Evolution (life by chance), God (life by supreme being) or a Leprechaun (life by little green guy from planet three solar systems away).
I get it you want me to accept well it just happened somehow but don't worry about that. No thanks!
I get that it angers you because you can't explain this process any more than anyone else. It is what it is. Maybe someone day we'll know until then I personally can't accept any final resolution.

The endless folks that think I have any position one way or the other is fascinating. In all seriousness lets pick up this thread and re-read it for starters.
Again for the like 5th time. I neither accept wholly Creation or Evolution. NEITHER. why because yes I want to know what kicked off those amino acids caused chaining of DNA. I can't be more clear.
If you want to ignore the issue of RNA to DNA then you simply don't want to accept the fact that Evolution like Creation cannot be proven. Neither can life originating from some other planet outside our solar system.
I get it you don't want to address this very key issue because there's no answer hence it frustrates you and your firm belief of Evolution, probably because you don't like hearing that it is only a theory.
Still that is what we have, so lets quit assuming Hadriel believes in X because I simply don't have enough data and neither does anyone as we're missing this key component.
