i've on my been on this forum for a few weeks but the more i'm learning the more ill its making me feel that i believed the wts.

my 12yr old today said i've made her miss out on having a normal childhood and i felt sick when she said it coz i know it's true.

i've been telling my dad today the things i've learned that wts had lied about and about the child abuse and he's disgusted too especially coz he's missed out on 12 years of being able to celebrate birthdays with us.

Zeb - i think she'd njoy a burning of the books more than the clothes coz she has some stunning colourful dresses. Some of her skirts are old fashioned and she'll be happy to see those go. She's always hated studying the literature.

Jo-ho - I hope your parent's wake up soon and realise that you're more important than the wts. Its heartbreaking reading about them breaking up families just coz you believe differently to what wts/GB say. For years I never believed my mam who isn't a jw that jws break families up, coz they brainwash you with the opposite at the meetings. I really feel your pain

Yes writing what they don't get involved in would have been a shorter list but seeing how long the list is shows me how much they control people without them realising. It's true that no one would join if they saw this list while they were studying

In 2007 I bumped into a brother that I knew really well before he got disfellowshiped and I saw him in the shops one day and when we caught eye contact I could see the pain In his eyes and the expression on his face and i wanted to go and give him a big hug but I was with a really fanatic jw sister so i just smiled at him when she was distracted. I felt pain having to ignore him. He said the whole year he was disfellowshiped was the most miserable and lonely year of his life and he was pleased when he got reinstated

hi does anyone have any ideas of good places for me to make non jw friends when i move coz need to replace all my jw friends for my kids and i ready for becoming inactive.

Thanks everyone all I can do is focus on making her teenage years better and letting my young son have good times

Its horrible felling betrayed by the society I so strongly believed in at one point, can't get my head around it at moment coz the lies I'm learning they told are all new to me

Meat Eating

most hard to swallow meat and fish (that i was aware of) that i have ever eaten is rabbit, but also deer, octopus and eel sushi.. how about your meat eatings?

what have you eaten that is interesting?.

Something my daughter made at school and I didn't have a clue what it was and had to pretend it was the nicest thing I've ever tasted 😊

I was 22 so I had a happy free childhood too and I've always felt cruel not being able to give my kids the same coz the wts/GB says so
