  a 'concerned' jw in my congregation rang me earlier and said she's noticed my daughter sits miserable at the meetings and said she's a right miserable girl in general.

  i said she's happy and hyper when she's not at the meetings they're just really boring and she doesn't want to be there.

  apparently i'm a bad parent coz she feels that way.

  1st month of fading

  i'm nearly at the end of my first month of becoming inactive.

  only my daughter knows.

  i've had a cold half of the month so no questions or pressure has been put on me yet.

  My dad has offered to be a go between by text with him to arrange when he comes to visit. Although letting him contact by email might be better coz he'll hang himself for court in his emails lol

  i was baptized 30 years ago and have been in the faith for over 35 years.. our organization isn't perfect.

  but i'm sick to death of seeing stereotypes about us.

  One thing I've learned quite quickly is the lies the watchtower society and GB has covered up and they've used scriptures to mislead so many innocent people from having a life and they've destroyed so many people's lives and families. I feel sick the more I'm learning about them. Think they have a lot to answer for. They have More to answer for than any of the societies so called 'apostates' have ever done all combined. There's a reason they tell jws they're not allowed to speak to anyone that has an opinion that isn't the wts and that's coz we all know the truth and their lies and they will be fully exposed if the shunning isn't there to protect them. Think this so called faithful jw is deluded

  Flat earth vs round earth

  my brother has been talking about the earth being flat and some big conspiracy going on to make people beieve otherwise.

  what are people's thoughts on this?.

She said I Need to sort her out and make her interested. Gave me an example of a single mother she knows who prayed every day with her 3 kids and was out on ministry all the time with them and sang kingdom melodies at home witn them and did this and that and all 3 kids are now adults and all strong spiritual jws. I'm sat there on the phone rolling my eyes. Neither of us wants to be at the meetings lol I've done pretty well in avoiding them as much as possible coz of colds lately. This sister has constantly criticised me for the last 12 years, when I tried talking to her about it a while ago she said she's my big sis and someone has to boss me around and help improve my flaws. Did anyone else have any annoying people trying to correct them all the time and point out everything they're doing wrong instead of concentrating on themselves

  something just dawned on me today as i processed my assimilation into the real world (thanks to our new poster, @jester, giving me a major throwback to my first post).. when you're a jehovah's witness, you really are in some sort of la la land.

  things which are perfectly normal are acts of eating from the table of the demons.

  things which are horribly grotesque and extremely unjust are branded as "righteousness".

  I feel really stupid that I was even duped by the wts in the first place. All I can put it down to was the naivety of youth. Even worse is the pain and sadness I've seen on my daughter's face over the years when I've said we can't do this or that or go to such n such's house from school, no school discos, no after school clubs, having to tell her she can't do Irish dancing anymore coz i kept getting comments about her competitions (which were 1 Saturday every 2 months) taking us away from the ministry, being asked nearly every year if we can do xmas, listening to certain sisters pulling her (bad) qualities to bits and then telling her she needs to do this and that and behave this way to make Jehovah happy to get into paradise and I've just sat there imagining what I'd like to say to them in my head (which weren't nice things) and then consoling her at home afterwards, she's only flippin 12. I have snapped at them recently a few times when they've done it coz I'm reaching breaking point with them. Dunno why I couldn't see it all though til the last 2 years

  Jp1962 my brother believes in a flat earth and they don't believe there are other planets. they think a round earth is a conspiracy theory by the government's of the world which is indoctrinated into us through school from childhood to draw people way from God by making people believe there's other life out there with there being other planets when there really isn't and those other planets aren't mentioned in the bible meaning earth is the only (flat) one. He also said the sun moves around the earth 😂😂 its crazy!!
