I have come across some long time still in JWS who unfortunately bought into the shenanigans and deceptions by the WTS. who aren't doing so well. mostly associated with poverty and health issues, things they were told they wouldn't have to deal with by the WTS leaders.

What amazes me most is how tight a grip on the minds of ordinary people using fear keeps the GB safe from a simple Google search.
It works unfortunately upon the key word at hand "Fear"
The WTS heads have imprinted the holding aspect of fear in that you have to obey everything they say or announce through doctrine, a psychological vise that's not easy to let go once its there.
You had it as well as myself once so we know what its like.

Recommendation and deletion of Elders and Ministerial Servants.
by bola inplease explain what what is meant by "reinstated within the past 5 years" when elders consider recommendations for brothers to serve as elders or ministerial servants.

Sad that she couldn't get that medical problem repaired in her growing elder years.
US healthcare system sucks, no wonder people/politicians have tried to revise it.
I have wondered a few times whatever happened or became of those JWS teenagers I grew up with.

1995 generation change
by Gorb innow, many years later, i remember the 1995 generation change, very well.. since early youth, hearing my father explaining in field service the 2520 years.
it was his main theme in the field.. with the change my doubts started.
with some jw friends we did not trust the organization anymore.

Sure there were a couple notable hypocrite elders in my old Hall, who drove in brand new Cadillacs or Mercedes, wore the most expensive suits and looked the rich atypical.
The way it was in that Hall was that your personal wealth made you automatically into a posed elevated member in apposed to a poorer person.
Put in some mega dollars into the contribution box and wallah your among the truly righteous.

Isn't humanity better off using and accepting modem secular knowledge regarding human sexuality than what the ancients knew 3000 years ago ?
The ancient Hebrews probably had justifiable reasons why they took their stand and position on homosexuality, we should honestly assume and accept that I think.
One thing we can unquestionably be assured of there are biological indifferences within born humans and it is inhumane to create prejudices and hatred through or because of those indifferences.
