  JW Culture has Changed!

  in the late 1960s, i became a jw.

  there was a sense of intellectual freedom and more openness to discuss various spiritual and even some social topics.

  there was reliance on watch tower literature as an authority, but still the soiciety seem to confine its concerns and left the rest up to individual jws to decide.

  Yes I think from Ray Franz being kicked out in 1980, they really are stressed out over "thinking out loud".

  I recall bringing some Bethelites home for a weekend around 1976.One was a roomate of GB - William Jackson.My worldly uncle dropped by with a copy of the latest "Luthern " magazine - front cover of a happy family with the words,"We were Jehovah's Witnesses". We laughed about it and Bobby took it to show Bro. Jackson.Jackson declined to read the article my friend told me later, he wasn't interested in it, but it was no big deal. Since 1980 - and poor Bobby would be homeless.

  as of 6:02 pm last night i received a facsimile from paul hoeffel at the un on the wts.. he gave me 3 of the 4 things i requested in two paragraphs.. i have sent a scanned version to steve bates and someone else.. i sent it to kent and randy.

  and kent and randy have posted the official united nations letter on their web sites.. here is the letter - put your cursor on the image and then right click on your mouse and hit "save image" to your computer.. .

  after you look at kent's web site and you people still think this it is a fake letter, phone paul hoeffel yourself at (212) 963-8070.. hawk

  NEWS: I am publicly reproved over UN situation.

  my wife and i met with 3 elders for a "judicial hearing".. our crime: simply put, was talking.

  i showed a friend the un website where the wts was listed as an ngo which then led to a 2 hour discussion of various doubts that we both have had.

  my wife also showed a friend the un thing but also discussed with her a first hand account of a pedophile cover-up that we knew about in our former congregation.

  Them Wt. writers are truly gutless.They don't let you know who wrote the article like they did 80 - 100 years ago. Just another way to fool the cult, thinking the hand of God does it now.

  As children, we were programmed with that thinking - I guess they figured Bethel would have a larger pool to pick from.

  Has the WTS ever made a prediction that came true?

  this morning a thought occured to me "has the society ever made a prediction or prophecy that has come true"?.

  most of us are familiar with the prophecies or dates the wts has emphasized in the past.

  of course all of those predictions never proved to be accurate so the question is, "if this is god's prophetic organization where is the proof"?.

  I recall reading an early 1900's WT.An article written by Russell. He stated they were having financial problems and some from Bethel were going to have to leave, he went on to say, Some of you will become college professors, school teachers, and business men.

  It blew my mind as I read it in Bethel Libriary,(1977)and I had been forced to quit school beginning 10th grade(end of the world coming up).And college was out of the question.

  I believe his prediction came true.It did open my eyes as to weather God was behind this religion.

  I shared what I was reading with some on the crew. I was admonished not to read old Wts. as it was "old light".

  Wt.bows down to UN by promoting UN. Wt. cleverly dances,wiggles,and spins their way through many articles since 1991 praising the efforts of the UN"to have their ears tickled".

  In 1991 the "Faithless & Scam class" pulled a fast one,by hopping on top of the image of the wild beast" not realizing the Internet would Expose them. I guess they figured another ten years from today and r&f would have softened up on the UN.

  since it has been several years since i attended an assembly/convention, i don't know if some of you folks are still picketing such, .

  the upcoming special assembly this sunday would seem to be a great opportunity to spread this un issue to the jw r&f.. can't you just hear the "buzz" in the hallways:.

  "why are the apostates holding signs saying, 'get the wbts out of the un'"?.

  1.Educate Bethel family - 99% don't know it yet. So we picket 124 or 25 Columbia Hts. with posters informing them of website to check out on their new Compaq computers.

  2.Protest at the UN. We could have some fun here,those that are still in the org. could protest for WT. to remain in close association with the UN. Then those who are out could protest for the opposite opinion.

  What a grand witness of hypocrisy of faithful & discreet class.

  Why JWs and ex JWs Return to Watchtower 3

  this post is an attempt to explain the paradoxical return of ex-jws back to the watchtower.

  my premise is that a persons unconscious mind has a positive intent in leading them back to the former environment and the intent is of intrinsic value within individuals.. developmental psychology tells us there are six primary developmental stages in a persons life.

  if a person experiences developmental gaps or underdevelopment of a stage all the others that follow will not develop properly and these will be affected.
