I have met Robert Compton in person. We went for a walk together with my son in Herefordshire. He is a thoroughly decent intelligent gentle kind man. He retrained to be a pastor after leaving JWs but was not at all bothered when his own sons did not follow his faith, indeed he encouraged them to pursue their own belief or non belief at the age they chose to.
Seeing Lloyd be so snarling and nasty to Robert online greatly upsets me. Robert is a decent and dignified gentleman. Lloyd is a piece of entitled scum, and doesn’t have the moral standing to polish Roberts shoes.

The fact that even when he is in Thailand banging prostitutes he doesn’t have a day off from moralising, hectoring and arguing on social media, is really tragic.
He’s like an MP cottaging in some public toilets but simultaneously remoting in to a House of Commons debate to make sure everyone knows how important he is.

When you are born in, before the age of the internet, and information is rigidly controlled and you are threatened with eternal cutting off from all your family and friends, it can take you a long time to leave. Saying ‘the WTS convinces no one’ is an unbelievably callous and cruel dismissal of peoples lived experience.
I can’t believe I even have to explain this. Took me 32 years from birth to escape.

Vienne, making a video infront of a bookcase is not ‘presenting yourself as an academic’.
I made videos and I have never been disfellowshipped. I have a law degree and a post graduate degree in education. Do I fit your narrow permitted criteria for making ex Jw videos? I’ve never made one infront of a bookcase if that helps.

Kim he might be referring to the fact that I have posted this discussion from 9 years ago when he doxxed hundreds of ex jws on the AAWA Facebook page.
I did it because it’s something I have been telling people about for years but to see the actual original discussion holds much more weight than me just telling the story.

Narcissists only see peoples value in terms of what they can be of service to the narcissist.
lloyd cultivates his ‘doting father’ and ‘family man’ image because it serves him. When the girls are grown up, or when the girls are speaking Croatian to their mum and he doesn’t know what they are saying, they are not of service to him and he will abandon them emotionally and / or physically.
in many respects he’s lucky he had girls, they are more malleable. A son would begin to butt up against him when the boy got testosterone, challenge him, defend his mum. It would lead to terrible fireworks. It’s happening with my boy right now, a very gentle but moral soul who told his dad he was a ‘bloody idiot’ (when he was 11) for shouting at me.
lloyd can control a feminised household for now.
