It’s not so much whether Lot knew or didn’t know, it’s that the bible then promotes this story as perfectly OK because it was in the cause of getting to Jesus.
if I got my dad drunk and shagged him and had his baby would you then put it in a book as a shining example of faith and loyalty to your deity? What kind of message is that sending?
You might put it in and say ‘hey kids this is REALLY REALLY wrong. Don’t do this at home. Don’t get your dad drunk and have his baby, because overall its pretty wrong’.
Make no wonder there’s so much bloody child abuse when the ‘good’ book doesn’t even have a bad word to say about dads and their daughters getting down to it.

The bibles moral standards:
Solomon shags 1000 women but gets to call them wives and concubines.
Lot offers his daughters to the men of the city to be raped to death to save two new mates he’s met. Then fucks them both himself later on.
Woman have to marry their rapists.
Then at an arbitrary and, to an eternal god, infinitesimally small time later, gets all prissy about it and sends Jesus to do a massive morals makeover and pretend all that previous shit doesn’t count, because, well it was ages ago and morals is different now.

Lloyd had nothing at all to do with that podcast. Jill Owens, John Viney, myself and a whole host of other UK ex JWs gave information to the journalist. It’s a brilliant podcast isn’t it! I’d love to know who the anonymous ex circuit overseer is but obviously at the same time wouldn’t as they want and need to keep their anonymity.

Back then Lloyd was still fresh and not the cynical money chasing Jabba he is now, so to see him behave so cravenly seemed out of character for him (so we thought). I know Mike and Kim had him sussed long before many of us because of the way he had treated Shyla, and Marc and Cora soon came to know he was morally bankrupt because of their dealings with AAWA. It took me longer because of doing the podcast with him and him seeming smooth and articulate. It was only when I disagreed with him on a minor point that I realised what a callous emotionally redundant narcissist he was. In the beginning I wouldn’t have had the knowledge or insight to know he was a narcissist, but after a lot more research and reading I slowly came to know him for what he was and then past details that had seemed ‘out of character’ made complete sense.
I then got on the merrygoround of calling him out every time there was a scandal, posting screenshots of his vile behaviour, being shouted down by people who hadnt been on the receiving end of his vicious petulant interactions, going quiet, rinse and repeat every few years.
im thankful to Kim and producer Bob for putting the brakes on this merrygoround because it was making me feel sick and dizzy.

I was at the event and can confirm the truth of it. Slight point of correction, I believe the event was set on and paid for by Richard Kelly, because I made a donation directly to Richard to help with the costs. Hassan was just invited to speak along with many others, it wasn’t his event, I don’t think.
I found Hassan to be condescending shit and a beg friend for Amazon reviews. But that’s by the by.

So his entire case stands on the fact that while he admitted to using prostitutes regularly for 3 to 4 years, he’s claiming that when he went to Thailand he at that time dated a prostitute, and therefore anyone saying he used a prostitute in Thailand can be taken to court for slander?
isn’t that like a known burglar taking you to court for slander when you said he burgled your house and he’s saying, well I admit to burgling other houses regularly but I just wandered into your house and didn’t burgle it.

I was in that Manchester circuit back in the day. The very best bit was if my mum let me make sandwiches in that little room upstairs where you could chat and work and not really listen to the piped sessions.
it’s so desperately sad and pathetic that Lloyd is having to brag about MTS school. It was years ago and it was a sad little made up program to make people think they had a bit of status. It’s like an old man in a pub, ruminating, salty eyed over a shoe selling training course his company sent him on 45 years ago (‘and they said I was the best shoe seller in the south west of Norfolk area’).
It’s a clear indication that he doesn’t rate anything he has ever done since. His heart is still placing WTS an a ‘one up’ authority.
