  Jehovah`s Witnesses have been preaching "This Good News Of The Kingdom " for well over a hundred years ?

  Well you could have fooled me.! I was a JW for 33 years preaching from D2D most of that time .

  I was always following the directions of the Society as to what was to be highlighted that month and when I stop and think about it ,it was never about the good news of the Kingdom ,it was always about some other topic that was supposed to engage the householder

  .I think the beginning of my awakening was when I realized that in any given street if you asked a householder what JW`s believed it was never about the "Good News of The Kingdom" that they heard it was always about the blood issue or no voting in elections and nothing else.

  That was the extent of their knowledge of Jehovah`s Witnesses .

  And it puzzled me ,why after all this time preaching the average householder had no idea why we were on their doorsteps unless it was to gain converts in their view.

  my stepsons, aged 12 and 13 are proud to be the first boys in their school with facial hair, and are choosing not to shave it "because it's my choice!

  " much to their jw mother's chagrin.

  i am so proud of them for standing up to their mother, but if they want to shave later on it's their choice.

  Thanks for this post Barb.Trey Bundy does an excellent work in exposing JW suspect policy`s and doctrines and especially exposing their extremely poor child protection programs which are zero.

  The two witness rule is a travesty of justice in this modern age that allows abusers to get away with their crimes.

  Jehovah`s Witnesses are still living in the dark ages thousands of years behind the modern era.

  Do they still want slavery ? That was O.K. back then .How about stoning that also was OK back then ?

  Oh and so was crucifying I`m sure many JW`s would like to see that brought back again especially those they deem as apostates ,who in reality only point out the failings of WT/GB doctrines and procedures.

  An AFL player here in Victoria Australia threatened to leave his club to pursue his religious convictions as a JW recently. A 26 year old and an un baptised publisher.

  {It doesn`t sound like he was very committed to me }

  Of course his contract was about to be renewed and he didn`t leave his beloved club to become a full time JW .witnessing from D2D

  And of course it didn`t have anything to do with the extra money he was offered to stay with his club over his love for Jehovah.

  You do not reach this standard of play being half hearted or apathetic about the game ,you have to be full on and 100% committed to the game .And it takes years to achieve that level.

  All of which goes against the JW religion ,being competitive and taking the glory away from Jehovah by making a name for yourself.

  Then again I suppose we all deceived ourselves while we remained in this religion rationalizing and excusing what we knew deep down was wrong.And trying not to notice it.

  Just think about the ARC that was conducted here in Australia with 1006 cases of child sexual abuse handled by Elders that were never reported to the authorities or police over the past 35? years .With a population of about 60-70 thousand Jehovah`s Witnesses.

  Now compare that with how many Jehovah`s Witnesses there are in the USA and what the ratio is likely to be with child sexual abuses in the congregations their.

  If somebody more adept than me can do the correlation I would appreciate it.

  While I`m at it the ARC is due to give it`s final recommendations in mid December and in light of what has recently been shown on JW.Org that the two witness rule is non negotiable even in child sexual abuse cases ,I wonder how the ARC will respond to that statement.

  Also the fact that Jehovah`s Witnesses will not get in bed with Christendom ,how will they get around a communal compensation of religions for the abused ? suggested by the ARC?

  People Asking Me To Help Them Leave

  i dont know if it's due to the last convention, the recent broadcasts, the internet or just plain fatigue - but since the convention i've had a few people contact me via facebook messenger asking how i am then cutting to the chase asking me what it's like "on the outside" or "how did you adjust after leaving?

  " and asking me how they can leave the wt but keep their families.. my reply is always the same, i show real genuine interest and concern and listen to their situation.

  then i suggest a fade, how to fade, to ignore or reject elders visits, to not talk about their doubts to active jws under any circumstances and finally point them to this site.

  Good for you P.E.that you are able to help people you know and who know you.

  I think I know how you feel, it would make my heart glad to help JW "friends" and aquaintances in the 33 years of being in the religion to escape it. Kudos to you

  I also believe that all of us on here are helping the curious and lurkers who come on here and other sites like this by our contributions to this discussion board by questioning and exposing WT doctrine and practices.

  How many faithful old JW`s are now living in Christendoms retirement homes not being cared for by the religion they gave their life for.

  it must be pointed out in favour of christendoms religions that they do not discriminate against people regarding their religious beliefs.

  many old age jehovah`s witnesses are residents of christendoms age care homes.. isn`t this a conunudrum ?

  they, jw`s condemn christendom as part of the world empire of false religion and they cast off their old faithful members to their enemy christendom , to look after them without lifting a finger themselves.. in the meantime they are raking in millions of dollars $$$$ in selling off real estate properties in new york and elsewhere around the world.

  It must be pointed out in favour of Christendoms Religions that they do not discriminate against people regarding their religious beliefs. Many old age Jehovah`s Witnesses are residents of Christendoms Age Care Homes.

  isn`t this a Conunudrum ? They, JW`s condemn Christendom as part of the World Empire Of False Religion and they cast off their old faithful members to their enemy Christendom , to look after them without lifting a finger themselves.

  In the meantime they are raking in Millions of Dollars $$$$ in selling off Real estate Properties in New York and elsewhere around the World

  Jehovah`s Witnesses / Watch.Tower Society does nothing to look after rank and file members who have spent the best part of their life giving up their free time in spreading the message of the Watchtower into their old age.

  They are then suggested to take advantage of the various Government programs to assist them.

  The G.B.Jehovah`s Witnesses are Parasites / a Pox on modern day Society .
