i was wondering about he differences between men and women.
could it be that women leave for different reasons than men?
do men tend to leave because of evidence and logic?
I was much more irritated by the way I saw deserving brothers passed over in favor of some ass kisser and the way an elder could be knocked down and all priviledges taken away just because he exposed what another elder was doing. Also all the stuff that got shoved under the rug when it pertained to relatives of important elders. No, I wouldn't say it was the way the sisters were treated as much as the way I saw what the elders would do to the brothers.

I agree with you Ashi. There were things that bothered me for 30 years but I always figured Jehovah would make it clear and understandable so all I had to do was be patient. It was the back stabbing, favortism, gossiping, and who was good enough and who wasn't that I couldn't take anymore. I saw a brother work all his life to be an elder and it will never happen because he won't be a puppet for the PO. The PO's new son-in-law moves to town and is immediate elder. The Payton Place stories are endless. That was the last straw. Finding out about the UN stuff was just icing on the cake.

So we are not to compare a "fetus" to a newborn. This is implying that all abortions are done early in the pregnancy. Not so. Many are done at a stage where the baby is viable.
If it were my 12 year old daughter, I would find a better doctor. And also, that scenario is rare. That is not why most abortions are done.
I knew such a girl who got pregnant and since she was a minor she had no say in it and her parents thought it best that she have an abortion, which she did not want. The result was that she hated her parents for forcing her to kill her baby and she went right back and got pregnant again by the same boy. This time she carried the baby to term and her parents thought it was wonderful to have a little grandaughter.
Rhett's analogy of not being allowed to kill people walking down the street is a good one. One could reason that some of those people are really bad so we should be able to pick and choose who we can kill. It shouldn't matter that most are innocent. The big difference being, of course, that these people can attempt to defend themselves.
Yes, I guess I am one of those hard hearted fanatics too. I also am for animal rights because they too are helpless victims. I guess there is no hope for me. I can't be reasoned with.

How do I know that a heartbeat starts at 28 days? Because the medical books say so. I didn't pull that out of thin air. Yes, I know there are unusual circumstances. There was one recently here in Phoenix where the baby was developing with no head. But we all know that by far the majority of babies aborted are healthy, or would be if they were given a chance. I am not against abortion in those unusual cicumstances.

or attend birthday parties and stuff like that without it bothering you?i know i dont have a problem with it.i dont celebrate any major holidays but thats because after so many years not doing it i would feel weird doing it now but i dont have a problem being invited to a gathering that has to do with any of the above.
March 3rd we celebrated my son's first birthday. He is 29. I know he felt a little odd about it. He and his wife were raised in the Borg. My husband and I had 25 years before we were brainwashed, so we have memories of those things and it is not that hard to go back. My little grandson will have his first birthday party March 10. He will be 4. He is so excited. We will all have a great time!
