I agree. I miss the 90's internet. I remember the naive excitement of first getting online. Everyone will have a world of knowledge at their fingertips. Not taking into consideration that it would become less a Library of Alexandria and more a town square for conspiracy nutters and narcissists sharing pictures of what they had for lunch.

This may be more suitable for a different thread...but...going to Mars, at least right now, doesn't thrill me. If and when we do, i'll be on the edge of my seat of course, but for the money, things like the JWST are more interesting. There are questions i'd like to have answered before I die and robotic missions and things like JWST seem more likely to answer those and give more bang for the buck than the expense of keeping humans alive in a tin can. .
My dream NASA project would be a robotic mission to Europa to see what if anything is in that ocean beneath the ice.

Yes. Your phone and websites share data. Some worse than others, but it's pretty much the world we live in for the past 2+ decades. There are ways to mitigate it, but you can't completely escape it unless you decide to live a completely 1995 life.
Its a problem. You can read pages of disclaimers when you buy a phone or download an app and maybe find out what is and isn't being shared but i think you're just having to take their word for it. Unless you're knowledgeable enough to read and understand all their code. ( That you won't have complete access to even if you did possess such skill. )

considering the recent influx of muslim people in european countries you would think that some attempt from the religion that touts the are preaching the good news of the kingdom in all the inhabited earth would have been made.instead the only meaningful attempt dates back to 1953 ,almost 70 years ago!!!!

George Carlin said it funnier and wittier in that full skit, but it coincided with some of my reasons for leaving. My primary reasons for leaving were not so much JW Doctrine specifically (most other faiths are similarly nutty) as much as the absurdity of belief in general.
If a person is sick or struggling, an all knowing God would already know this. Why would he be more inclined to help if you begged him to? And why would he be even more inclined to help in direct proportion to the number of people begging on your behalf?

I know Franz probably didn't personally author every article published while he was alive, but the publications did have a distinct "authors voice" back when I was around that I assume was the writers consciously or unconsciously mimicking the Fred Franz style.

They are discussing conspiracy theory, not reform of the Watchtower. You know, some nefarious "they" (Bill Gates, Prince Charles, George Soros, Vaccine makers, Illuminati, Sasquatch) have hatched some plot and as usual it's been discovered by Alex Jones or internet sleuths frequenting those type websites. And only Trump can save us, or something.
