How Old Was Eve When She Was Tempted?
by berrygerry inhas this question ever been answered by wt or biblical apologetic?.
if near the beginning of her creation, would she not have had the effective development of a a toddler or even a baby?.
if so, would you sentence a toddler or a baby to death for grabbing an appealing candy from a bowl?.

Best statement a householder made to get you to leave them alone.
by Esse quam videri inknocked on a door on a saturday morning.
a window opened on the floor above me.
a grizzled old man stuck his head out and said, " we're all heathens here!

" We're all heathens here!"
That wouldn't have stopped me at all. I'd start inquiring about what that means, or I'd come up with anything that would keep the conversation going.
I just got a straight forward F#@k off.
That may have stopped me.

At first I was going to say that based on the architecture of the column in the back, it looks like it's Roman, or roman inspired, I'd say. The structure is not an ancient structure at all. If you look at the wall you can clearly see that there's no way any ancient structure would look like that or would be made of those materials. Then the walls reminded me of a place I was last October. A simple Google search lead me to:
That is a sculpture named "The Torment of Marsyas", from the Department of Greek, Etruscan, and Roman Antiquities: Hellenistic Art (3rd-1st centuries BC), Museum of Louvre, Paris, France.
I agree with smiddy regarding the obsession that the WT has with Jesus of Nazareth not being crucified. I don't get it. I hope this shed some light.
My stance is that to me that's not relevant. If you believe or not in Jesus, how is his sacrifice affected by the position in which he was murdered?

money
by pepperheart innow they are not printing between 40 and 60 million magazines a month what do people think they are doing with the money?.
-
scratchme1010
Yes, they have a real estate business. They are making money from it. Just like the rest of the publishing industry in the world, they shifted focus to more profitable ventures.
My mother told me that the operation of that TV studio is really, really expensive!!!
God needs your money!
LOL!

More evidence beards are being eased in . . .
by neat blue dog inthe june 2017 watchtower tells the experience of a bible student who was homeless and unkempt, but improved his appearance after being preached to.. peter began to change.
he bathed, neatlytrimmed his beard, and put on the betterclothes that don offered him.
peter continued to maintain a clean appearance.. so here we see that with a neatly trimmed beard the watchtower's writers view him as having "a clean appearance".

I wonder what if anything will tat make people want to join. Or maybe they just purposely want the old timers to suffer or die of bitterness.

Three congregations dissolved and a kingdom hall sold within a 50 mile radius in my area...
by UNCONDITIONAL LOVE inhas anyone else heard of these situations with congregations and halls in your area?
i thought the ground breaking mandatory pledge a little while ago was to keep up with "immense" growth?
how soon they forget... looks really bleak for the future of the wbats, the jw gravy train seems to be coming to a slow and agonizing yet inevitable stop.

Not sure if you have been a member of this forum for some time, but there have been many threads about their real estate business. They are in the business of real estate and are making money of it. Their pledge is as good as a three dollar bill.

Do JWs Regard You As An APOSTATE?
by minimus ini doubt people consider me an apostate but you never know.🤓.

I don't think that the JWs who knew me as a JW have the depth of thought enough to consider me an apostate. Gay is enough for them. That's all they see.

Becoming the average JW (and what I found out about the average 'Joe Witness')
by Skepsis inuntil a couple of months ago i was an uber-spiritual pioneer, only having association with other pioneers, elders and others who would fill in the category i classified as "spiritually acceptable" friends.. but since stopping pioneering and having more time to think about my doubts and what i really believe (or better said, what i no longer believe), i have started getting to know other less spiritual brothers and sisters of the area.
in fact, my old friends are starting to forget me quite quickly, i must say.
so, i guess my next move in fading is becoming what i call the average witness.. and what did i discover?

Love you post. It stroke me as sort of divided, the way you describe what seems to be a clear separation between the "average" JWs and the "very JW JWs". Seems like the "elite" doesn't seem to care much for whatever the rest of the congregation does. It has come to that.
What you shared about the conversations you had with the other JWs seems to me like a good thing in the sense that you get to be more in touch with reality, but also in the fact that the "average JWs" seem to be way far away from looking up to those über JWs. Used to be, at least when I was there a few decades ago, that those people were supposed to be looking up and wanting to be like them.
Times have changed. Hopefully for the good.

Does the Watchtower Bible Society own stocks. Nad are those stock related to military business?
by CitizenofEarth inhello.. i am a young 18 year old danish guy, who is a baptized jw.
since one year ago i have been maturing gradually and asking questions about many things, not only about jw stuff(which has caused some problems.
but nothing i couldnt handle with a bit of social skill).

Hello, CitizenofEarth.
Recently i stumbled upon an article that discusses and proves that the WTS owns stock in companies that have ties to military business, and business in general(i found it on this website). I only read this article through a few minutes ago, and i am of course in a state of "denial"(or shock). Can you help me find the source of this article - or another one that shows the same. I would like to show this to my dad, who luckily can think for himself, in order to show him why i dont trust the WTS and just want to believe in god in peace, without being dependent on an organization susceptible to corruption.
I personally don't know about the stocks that the WT's owns, but I'd encourage you that now that you are in researching "mode", use this opportunity to search for anything and everything you may be curious about the WT. There are reasons why they only expect you to read their literature, their website and use only the education that comes from them. That is not a good thing, especially if they are supposed to be "the truth".
If I come across that information I'll forward it to you.
