i was surprised she messaged me.

i think it's because the cart witnesses i spoke to in my previous post in her kh must have mentioned that they met me.. i screen shot the messages but they've come out all wonky so please bare with me.. notice how she defends the cult even over the blatant wrong doings i refer to.. .

Thanks for sharing that, I'm sure it's not exactly a pleasant exchange at all, leave alone that it's your own sister.

Something caught my attention, and as I have mentioned before, reasoning with them about facts and teaching may bear little productivity. However, I do notice in her conversation that she ties up her believes with your father. Seems like he's not alive. To me it looks like she's been more loyal to your father's legacy than to the WT teachings.

Maybe if you address what she's implying about what she feels instead of what she says about the WT teachings may take you in a different direction.

Either way, as frustrating as it may look, it's also possible that this exchange may stick and may become relevant for her in the future. You just don't know.

“oh mommy!” the little girl in the floral dress cooed to her mother.. i felt the same.. that splash of vivid brightness on such a perfect creature takes your breath away!the delicate robin whose crimson colored breast chased ugliness from sight delighted little children on starbucks patio.. better still, her nest in a nearby tree stirs a keen anticipation for summer’s hatchling sounds of chirpy appetites and a renewal of hope for our futures, the little things and we ourselves.. i barely spy her nest, exquisitely fashioned, basket-like; roundish and stout.

she flits charmingly now...and again keeping custodial observance of her eggs.

Why did Jesus need to experience a human childhood?

i've never been a jw and haven't ever studied the bible or theology so it may be that there is a simple answer to my question that i'm not aware of, in which case, please forgive my ignorance.

however i have wondered about this for quite some time and have scoured the internet but i can't find any mention of the topic.

maybe someone here might enlighten me.

You know, it will be a great game to see who comes up with the most ridiculous explanation given by religion for that. I'm glad that I don't even remember what nonsense the Wt came up with to explain Jesus of Nazareth being the son of Jehovah and his purpose to being here as a human being.

Those things are not changed for no reason. They will "simplify" the baptism of people only if/when there's something better for them that advances their interest, i.e., make more money, save money, control people better. Those are the only reasons for them to make changes, unless they are legally bound to make them.

"Taking the "Lead" vs. "Leader"

the wt articles for the past 2 weeks were the typical every-3-months-or-so attempt at justifying the sovereignty of the jw popes, the governing body.. aside from the usual specious reasoning and ridiculous assertions, i noted this:.

the articles went through great semantic pains to emphasize that, for the jws, jesus is "the leader", while the gb are merely "those taking the lead".. what, exactly, is the difference between a "leader" vs. "one who is taking the lead"?.

in what other sphere of human experience is such semantic pretzel logic even close to rational?.

Within the context if what the WT is explaining, it is as LoveUniHateExams states. A real leader is not a dictator, but for the Wt and the GB it is like that. They are attempting at presenting themselves as followers of the leader's directions, though we all know well how they really are and what they really do.

They justify whatever they tell people to do as "we're following what our leader, Jesus is saying", freeing them from responsibility and consequences of their actions and decisions.
