3 male passengers then get out and start stabbing / shooting people according to early reports.. but it could have been anyone for any reason, who knows, possibly jehovahs witnesses or amish.. maybe we'll never know the reason but i'm sure there will be people praying for those involved and hashtags.. thus solving the problem once and for all.. just "life in a big city" according to the muslim mayor of london, sadiq khan..
I'd suggest you all read this thread a few month from now, then you will see the real problem.
dear friends, we were so touched by your warm welcome and all of your comments to my ballroom dancing post.
thank you so much for your kindness.. i have more to tell you, but i wanted to share this with you.
we have a son that has been disfellowshipped for 18 years for smoking.
Next time I will tell you about the elders wheeling up in our driveway to interrogate us and the warm welcome my husband gave them. I don't think they will be back!
That's very good. I hope your family remains close and supportive of each other. Can't wait to read about the elders.
Thank you for sharing this.
okay simply put i am not of your faith however my faith allows me to learn and study other people's beliefs and faith's.
now i believe at least from what i have seen that you people are humble and respectful, when interacting with me.
and that watchtower book thing u hand out has actually helped me in the past.... taught me that resentment only hurts me and not the person i resented, that was really needed at the time.
is there a way I can call one of ur temples/chuches, like the one down the road and get a couple of u to come and discuss your beliefs with me, over a coffee or tea or water(not sure if u drink coffee and those are things I'd like to know)???
Yes, you can do that.

Loss is one of the main reasons a lot of people end up joining a cult. There are some naive people out there who think that somehow "God" has something to do with those unscrupulous opportunists approaching them. Sadly that works in many cases.
It is disgustingly immoral, but not illegal, and the tactic does work with some people. Good for that lady that was able to see through it all, but that's not the case with many.
Just sad to hear about.
has anyone had a study with jws with the goal of helping them see ttat..
Has anyone had a study with JWs with the goal of helping them see TTAT.
No, and I don't think it's my place to do so, nor my interest. First, when I left I meant it when I decided not to deal with JWs; I really wanted them out of my life and I still do. Second, many people who leave the WT are quite done with trying to convince and/or save other people from something.
To me that's like being a JW while not being a JW. To me the point is about minimizing their influence on me.
i'm not real sure if it's 50/50 but i know trump has a lot of key advisers that live for the war machine, and what's the good of weapons that never get used.
kimmy seems hell bent on a fireworks display..
You mean the percent of probability? Hard to say. I'd love to say it's 0%, but the thing is that I don't believe the news so it's hard for me to have the right information about what the NK leadership real stand is.
since i have left almost 4 years ago.
i have become a green belt in karate classes.
have got permits to own guns and go hunting.
Looking back, I now see how much this information was repetitive, subjective and misleading. And the worst, I was allocating so much time into it! I can’t help but wonder where I’d be had I left 10 years ago, when I joined this site! What a waste!
I have to admit that me and other ex-JWs I know feel a lot of anger over the time wasted. In fact, accepting the horrendous waste of time, energy and one's life in the WT crap is in fact something that some current JWs can't face and prefer to stay.
It's not an easy thing to look back and accept. I find comfort in the fact that I was a born in, that at least it wasn't my choice to become a JW. But it is angering knowing of all the time wasted in this life preparing for the next.
Thank you for sharing this.
q. how do you explain the millions that have left or were dfd/dad from jws?.

A. No evidence exists that it is the truth.
Case closed...
If it was that easy.
How do you explain cognitive dissonance?
No evidence that showing evidence alone closes the case.
Case pending...
i don't think there's any "one right way" to go about trying to show friends and family that the religion is both false and harmful.
but i do think there are a couple of things we should keep in mind..
) the religion is a social network.
Thank you for sharing this. I'd add PATIENCE. You never know how long will it take for all that to finally sink in. You never know what of what we say or do creates the desired effect of opening their eyes.
In the end, by doing that we really intervening in people's personal decisions without their permission, so having patience is appropriate.
Once again, thank you for sharing.
