You know that the old songs they got rid of because they plagiarized the music and adapted the lyrics, right? Didn't know about the Christian pop rock songs.

The Ever-Changing Song Book
by Cimarrona inthe songs in the old brown song book were way better than these new ones.
had they not changed the songs, i may never have left (halfway joking).
they gave no feeling, no soul (but of course there's no such thing as soul or whatever)!

The Trinity Easily Explained in 29 Words
by maccauk ina man can be a father .
a man can be a son.
a man can be a husband.

I have to say, defeating the trinity thing is what makes a lot of brainwashed JWs get a doctrine orgasm. Neither of whatever side teaches matters to me at all, and don't get me started with what does anything of that has to do with earning life forever in paradise or life in heaven, but I find it amusing that people go on and on and on ad-nausean over that crap.
I actually remember a JW who I saw after I left, and he asked me if now that I'm not a JW, if I believe in the trinity thing. I said, no, but I fuck a lot.

Hypocrisy in tomorrow's WatchTower study
by Isambard Crater inparagraph 15 says.... 15 besides abusive speech, the practice of lying is also a trait of the old personality.
for example, it is common for people to lie on tax returns or to lie to avoid taking responsibility for their sins.
by contrast, jehovah is “the god of truth.” (ps.

Nothing new, if you ask me. Today it's just more obvious.

Faith and the Bible. Is it all Just An Illusion ? With no basis in the real world ?
by smiddy3 inthe bible states that :.
"faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for"...." the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld" heb.11:1. looking at the "true" history of the wtb&ts and not the sanitized version jehovah`s witnesses like to portray nowadays ,nothing the jw`s put faith in ,in over 103 years of their prophecy`s , expectations ,whether it related to the world powers , the king of the north or the king of the south ,the united nations (which they joined for 10 years ) as the disgusting thing that causes desolation, their now acceptance of things they accused christendom of doing such as using atm`s for donating funds,(they never solicit for money){ excuse me while i puke} .all of the failed prophecy`s of the the end/armageddon/great tribulation and the end of false religion babylon the great and the list goes on and on and on.. 1914 , 1919, 1925 ,1975 ,the year 2000 ,and of course since 1914 any day soon , just around the corner ,its imminent ,in our day ,it cant be any more than 5 years away .. 6000 years of human history ended in the late 18th century .
oops sorry ,6000 years of human history didn`t end till 1975 and that is a date that would be appropiate for jesus christ to start his 1000 year reign.. excuse me , faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for ?.

Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for ?
Actually I agree about their definition of faith (to some extent). I believe that faith is necessary and part of being human. What I don't believe is in having faith in what them or any the the crap they preach.

Random and unsafe conditions
by ironsnake656 inone of the things that helped me in my awakening and fading process from jwland was something that i call "random failures".
let me explain it.
it happened like 4 years ago.

What do you think???
I think that what you explained is only one of many ways in which that idea of paradise doesn't make sense. That entire concept of people living according to what they preach is just nonsense from any perspective that you look at it.

Thanks for sharing about that. Actually, I'm not sure how legal that is since KHs are supposed to be public places and he's not violating any law.

I would like to thank the Lord I am OK
by Sour Grapes ini saw this on facebook: "i would like to thank the lord i am ok. had a serious fall yesterday from my garage landing to the cement floor and landed on my back.
i suffered a closed head wound, severe cervical sprain, 2 broken ribs and multiple contusions on hand and arm and shoulder.
could have been a lot worse.".

It just gets me when people who have accidents and are injured are thankful to God that it wasn't worse.
I agree. However, as silly as it sounds, that's how some people get comfort and let the anxiety go. If it works for them, for as long as they don't try to shove that mentality down other people's throats, I'm ok with them.
Using their own rationale, I am thankful that I know better.

Observation?
by dogisgod inlast memorial i found an invite on my door for the memorial.
on it was quoted, "truly i tell you, you will be with me in paradise".
in growing up that phrase was a big deal because the discussion was where the comma was placed.

I forgot about that comma thing. Brings some memories. Thanks for sharing.
