Religions or faiths have been with humans for so much of our history who knows if we will ever be rid of it. Even though the internet is allowing some to leave, the majority of people in the world have some sort of faith or religion that they are passing on to their children. If humans are ever fully done with religions it will be long after we're gone

by smiddy inwhy in this 21st century are we still cow towing to religions that are based in the distant past, of thousands of years ago , whether it be christian islam or whatever.?
and not to restrict it to just those two , but all ancient religions.. all of them are hypocritical , on the one hand rejecting modern day society and it`s technology and on the other hand embracing it for their own advantage .. when is the human race ever going to rid itself of pie in the sky beliefs.?.

Excellent Conversation At Literature Trolley
by cofty inyesterday my wife and i enjoyed one of our regular days out at edinburgh - movie, lunch, walk, meal etc.. in the late afternoon while mrs cofty went shopping i had an hour at the excellent museum of scotland and arranged to meet up outside the national gallery on princes street.
on my way back i saw the jw trolley was at the usual spot on the royal mile.
there was an older man and a young woman standing well back trying hard to look inconspicuous.

I just found out that my youngest brother committed suicide

our youngest brother, josh, who was 38, was found by his friends in his apartment.
he hung himself.

Tell me, are they better described, not as "the last days" but as "the last centuries" - which literally speaking, they are?Yeah, but a day to Jehovah is 1,000 years to us, so who knows what time span we're really talking about? And to me that is the point, they can keep this garbage going on indefinitely and find ways to warp scripture around their "teachings".
