The road to recovery will just have its own length of time - unique to each of us apparently. Just enjoy the new "ride" - I went into Huge depression in 2010 which took 30 agonising months to recover from and even now I have the craziest dreams which always involve some issue of entrapment within the cult - Very weird but evidence of what has taken place inside our heads - for me its a recovery after 50 years in the cult -

just called into the kingdom hall, speaker said he couldn't tell if anyone was listening to his talk now that everyone uses electronic devices and nobody laughed... well i did!.

i know jws have long used the word "shun" in a general sense, as in "shun what is bad".
but i think they have long avoided using the word in relation to disfellowshipping.
in external media or literature wherever the word "shunning" was used in a piece about jws it was usually a good indication it was critical of watchtower and not a neutral or supportive commentary.
Its an official word in JW world I suppose:
shun / shunned / shunning /
shunner / shunnee / shunnable
this latest convention with the shunning and bunker videos shows the organisation getting more and more extreme and more cultish.. i think for the last few years they have wavered between the softer more mainstream, loving version of christianity (last year's jesus convention for example) and a harder line, there were even posters on here optimistically suggesting they might relax the shunning rules.
whoever it is on the gb who has the harder stance has clearly won out (my guesses lett and morris!).
