i'm not sure how many in the organization is like this, but there some jws who love seeing others get disfellowshipped, and my father-in-law is one of those.
he became a jw because he loved the idea of being the head of the household, and lording it over his family.
as a jw he is very hypocritical, my husband would tell stories of how they would celebrate christmas until his mother-in-law called him on it.
additionally - if this shunning rule was removed and everyone was made aware of the dirty secrets of the org.. (e.g.
csa-arc / un membership / malawi - mexico contrast / etc.).
would those leaving be higher?.

I know from experience 9not personal but saw in the cong I was in) how eldubs concocted stories, accusations, made up two witnesses from thin air as well to D'F people. If Jehovah really cared, he would surely have exposed it all rather than have people disgrace his name (if he exists).
