WT Teaching That You Can't Leave Behind

after posting on another thread it became apparent to me that it can be difficult for some ex jws to totally shake off all wt teaching , even after leaving the org.

do you still feel guilty going into a church for a wedding or a funeral .

can you bring yourself to celebrate birthdays or christmas .

I did an about turn, total reversal of it all. Plus now I do a lot more research.I see that there are way more choices to consider . I am surprised at myself now that I am out how different I look at things coz I have educated myself in so many ways.

I have let whoever matters to me about my blood stance, and other things that has changed with my decisions so when time comes they all know I have changed my decisions. No long pauses and musings over those.

So no jw barrier/concepts holding me down at all.

In my small way I always try and support local shops in my area. I simply refuse to be lead by ads, big brand names, coerced,guided mind control, manipulations of corporations in any way. I do it my way, have always done.

If only my actions could make a huge change in the market,businesses, I would.But the reality is no , it doesnt.They are way bigger than me, I am not even small fry. So why live my life through mind control one way or the other!

If lil old me buying/not buying any product mattered or made any waves in the world; dont you think by now the world would have been so much a better place to live in than when we started??

History says it all. People come, people go...fee fi fo fum...

I do things as per my budget, not by some badass corporation views, stance etc.

If lil old me mattered to them,then their opinions might matter to me.

So far I do not see any good reason to read your book. Another perhaps cock and bull compilation of things put together into a book from the viewpoint of the author. I do not beleve in the bible so why would I want to read your book?? Nothing personal mate but I shall pass.

1.Honest 10 why? Because- I once was looking for a nice gift for a friedn. Apart from that I had to get some other things too. So I went to this one stop for all shop and picked up a load of itmes. Along with them was a organiser type bag which I put on the counter (mind you I did not have any personal stuff with me in my hand and possibly this is where the mistake happened by the staf) . The man behind the counter scanned all items but not the organiser bag( which was the most expensive item as that was the gift for my friend). I did not realisse that he had not scanned it and walked ou t the shop. While walkin ghome I thought something did not add up. So thought I will see to it later. When I arrived home n was sorting things out , i checked the receipt and saw no mention of the organiser bag on it. So walked back with it and explained to him that he had not not charged me for it. He was so so happy that I went back to pay for the item, . He was surpirsed at my honesty n we bacame good friends. Whenever I am at his hop he introduces me to people in there n never forgets to praise me n state the incident to people there.

I am proud to say that I have never ever taken anything dishonestly at all. Mnay such instances, opportunities I came face to face with n could have gotten away with it but that is not how I have been brought up.

Therefore 10/10
