just received this on a very excited note from someone who is pimi.this is how some people start their year 2019.. very happy to say that the year 2019 marks for us 100 years out of darkness from babylon the great!.

More recently it's the 6th year since we first received the revised NWT (2013 A.D.), and the 5th year since the beginning of JW Broadcasting (2014 A.D.).

Zindagi, Why don't you ask the elders in your congregation, after all they are the ones who have taken the decisions?

You think I have not alrready ! They themselves are a confused lot with double ,triple standards. By the way two elders have beards .Both father and son. When asked about it they said for medical reasons, we are not rebelling or anything. So the conclusion is if you grow a beard you are looked upon as a rebel, they will see you as not in subjection. Was about to say "So do you think Jesus was also a rebel then" but bit my tongue. Was already in hot water asking questions. In my experience no BoE likes to be questioned, the sooner one suggests anything they take it as challenging their positions. I have never seen so much insecurity with regard to their positions anywhere else.

Question for PIMOS but all welcome

so once pimo how do you deal with going to the meetings, ministry, social getotgethers, conventions assemblies?.

for one you know it is all off key,.

two your 2 hours or more so just wasted (not counting the time getting ready,travelling etc).

Thank you all for your responses.

Since I dont drink alcohol at all I have to look for other ways to keep busy at the meetings, assemblies. I get on with things that need doing, catch up on things as well.It is gloriious to be in the internet age.

At what point would you lose your consciousness and reality?? (really being explored on TV shows now)

many recent shows and movies are showing and exploring people having their consciousness absorbed into digital form or transplanted to younger clone bodies to extend life.

parts of our brain can be cut or damaged, but we are still us.

our bodies can be replaced with artificial limbs but we are still us.

And would lose reality when a JDUB knocks on my door...

I have been told a few times that a visiting speaker was asked not to deliver his public talk coz he had beard. So he just had to sit through the meeting.

Its is very confusing and bible says he is a god of order.Where is the order there?

Yeah ours has it one newly baptised sister had a nose piercing while studying still has it but when another brothers wife got a nose piercing (she comes from a background where it is just jewelllery), also she has been trying to get it done for years but each time she gets an infection or something goes wrong .then she leaves it for a few years then tries again. when this time she got it pierced the elders were not happy but kudos to her husband who stood by her and supported her with the BOE'S.THEY NEED TO STOP NITPICKING adn not be overly judgy about every little thing. Spirituallity should be the focus and devotion.

Again two differnt standards for two people in the same cong. Flock will stumble.

One should not have three or four different standards being followed in one cong.Stumbles the flock anyways.
