What difference does it make if Bill Bowen is known as a witness who protested the child abuse policy of the WatchTower/CCJWs? None at all. The children need to be protected. Besides, even if Bill Bowen tried his darndest to remain anonymous, people like you would be searching him out to question his motives, just as you are now.

I don't know. But it seems that if the man was so concerned about children and not self-glory, he would tell members of this JW.com to stop praising him so much.

So, we see that you were formerly a member/lurker here. Doesn't it seem an odd coincidence that you are now "speaking out" regarding Bill Bowen now that he is in the papers? Besides, most of the posts I see are simply thanking Bill for what he is doing. Do you not thank someone for helping you? Is it not common courtesy?

If you are indeed a loyal Jehovah's Witness and not of the annointed than you are sadly mistaken. Go smoke a cigarette in front of other JWs, and when you are called for a judicial hearing, be sure and tell the elders there that "you only answer to God and Christ". I'm sure they will be very pleased to know this as they prepare to inform "God's People" that they should all ignore you as if you were dead.

Now, if you ARE a loyal Jehovah's Witness and of the annointed, why don't you think of one thing regarding "God's organization" that you feel should indeed change, and inform the governing body in writing of your thoughts, and remember who you claim to follow as they prepare to have "God's People" ignore you as if you were dead (unless they try to readjust your thinking).

I agree with that. The problem is, what about the Witnesses of Jehovah that would NOT eschew pedophilia? You know, the ones you don't happen to know who have been "internally conditioned" to detest and hate this crime, (as many other religious followers are) yet do it anyway.

Okay, thank you. Now I realize that you wish to question Bowen's motives. That's fine. But, since his primary concern is reforming WT policy so that it is more protective of innocent children, I must ask you what motivates YOU? Why would you, who so clearly detests child molestation, question the motives of someone who's clear intent is to stop it? Would you like to know what I think motivates YOU? It's protecting the JW organization. Therefore, when you say you "have no desire to protect the image of any religious organization", in my humble little opinion, you are lying.

It is clear from your posts that your primary concern is with protecting the image of the JWs. You say you do not advocate child abuse out of one side of your mouth, yet you support what caused child abuse in the JW organization out of the other side of your mouth. You are either an insincere apologist or extremely confused, trying to play the "God" card while elder Alfred bangs little Sally-Sue a few miles away.

Hello Kenneson.

It's not called acting like a chameleon. It's called actively participating, deciding to STOP participating and purposly clouding your original account as to deter yourself, staying addicted and creating a new account, posting again, and decided to STOP again (I think). I have never tried to pretend I was someone else at all. I have always been the nameless pro-exJW poster (except in the beginning when I belived what you all call "truth".)

Go back and read the posts by 'ianao', (you may have to browse for them at this point), and you may get a glimpse of my 'evolution', and understand why I stopped posting the first time. That is, if you really even give a damn about it.

Anyway, to make a short story even longer, what looks like chameleon activity, is actually this sad sop trying to kill his addiction to more of the interesting people on this board.

No deceptions, just addictions.

I fully understand your lack of trust in my words AlanF. Unfortunately, continuing to post is not something that I can do. Every day I come on this board and I see people who's emotions are tossed one way or another, people arguing and bickering over some of the stupidest shit I have ever seen in my life. The sad part about it though, is that they NEED to argue about it. (Healing process) They can't HELP it because of how they were raised. I thought I maybe "sorta" could consider myself a type of ex-witness since I came so close to getting "dunked". But, now I see I am fooling myself. There is no use in pretending anymore.

Marvin, thank you for your kind words. Since I am usually wrong, I am probably wrong in this case. Thanks for your gesture. Unfortunately, there is no way that you can "help" me, I simply must stop absorbing myself in issues that aren't even pertinant to me in reality. I keep coming on here and sympathising with people in turmoil and I end up making myself look like the fool that I obviously am. I should have ignored my idiot co-workers when they started me down this silly religious path long ago. Instead, I am here.

Now, as I wrap up what is turning into a "poor pitiful me" post, I will end with a big clap of hands for your persistance and seeming sincerety.

Valis: Do you see me putting the blame on anyone here for my actions? Of course not. It's interesting to watch the herd-mentality of certain posters in action. Fascinating to say the least.

In truth, I realize that I am copping out. Copping out is pretty much what I have done my entire life. Unfortunately, I have no shame, it is all that I know. I am actually glad that you joined in Alan, as I have a deep admiration and respect for what you do, as well as your intellect. You mention what I have to do to redeem myself, sadly, I am beyond redemption. I am but a lowly ex-jw sympathiser with a lot of zeal and little to contribute. Marvin seems like an apologist for the witnesses to me, perhaps I am wrong, perhaps I am right. Only time will tell.

Anyway, I have taken to heart most of what you have said. And, you are right. I don't think I should be posting here anymore. I don't have what it takes. Having said that, because I respect your opinion that much, I will cease posting to this board.

All of my life I have done the wrong thing for the right reasons, and this appears to be another sad failure on my part. I apologize for pissing you off.
