Mark Sanderson releases new brochure, training for ministry, to be used in congregation meetings starting January in Midweek meeting. Less focus on topics for conversation, more on scripting how to show love.

Made available by November 6 for all congregations. Entire symposium also available online on November 6, so all hear at same time. "Isn't that great!"

(🙄How about stop shunning people? How about stop splitting up families? How about protecting CSA victims instead of protecting unrepentant pedophiles? (The closing prayer was the best part of the meeting. He praised and thanked Jehovah instead of the GB/FD$/WTBT$. He also asked for Jehovah's blessing on those who could not attend. Jehovah will answer that prayer. Jehovah will sanctify His name and take care of all His sheep, despite how the WTBT$ has scattered and crushed so many of them and despite how the WTBT$ has reproached Jehovah's holy name.)

Jehovah's Witnesses and Tattoos

i was wondering about the jw attitude towards getting tattoos.. redditors suggest that the only jws who have them would have got them before they were baptised.. jw.org gives a meally-mouthed "true christians wouldn't" response.. but no-one (that i've seen so far) answers the question i'm actually asking: is getting a tattoo after being baptised a disfellowshipping offence?.

if not disfellowshipable, how would a typical jw congregation treat someone who got a tattoo after baptism?

would they really treat it like it is a conscience issue?.

Smoking, abuse, adultery, tattoos, whatever, they don't care. The BOE around here don't care as long as the person worships the elders properly according to the JWBorg. It's like that Catholic Church "sale of indulgences" thing, except instead of cash it's payment of worshipful honor the BOE craves.

A congregation member can get arrested for domestic assault, get caught committing adultery, celebrating holidays, smoking, and still be in good standing in the congregation as long as they kowtow to the BOE.

Another congregation member can toe the line completely (no abuse, no adultery, no whatever) and get kicked out for not bowing down to the BOE.

The BOE around here don't really care about anything except getting worshipped. It's gross. The publications are for show. The website articles are for show. Right now they have articles on the front website page about Truth (but they don't care about truth) about Successful Families (but they break up families with disfellowshipping) and about Help for Victims Domestic Abuse (but they don't help them, they help the abusers and crush the victims). They are fakers. If they say they care about tattoos or no tattoos, it's just for show. They don't care about anything except getting worshipped.
