  a little about me first: i was a 4th generation jw who had major reservations about the wt growing up, but finally got on board at age 23 when i got baptized.

  spent 8 very active years in, then 8 years out as an agnostic.

  got saved in 2004 and been living the born-again christian bible-believing life ever since.

  But that's what I mean. I wasn't aware of the lung condition until I just read it. They could have just said "the property will be owned by the society but Rutherford will reside there due to his health condition." and I believe that explanation would have sufficed.
  
  It just reminded me of a certain type of person who misses some time at work or maybe needs to borrow some money. But instead of giving you the perfectly understandable reason behind it, they make up some outrageously unbelievable story that wasn't even necessary.

  Why not just tell the people exactly what it says above? Why all the mumbo jumbo about purchasing it for ancient worthies to be resurrected? Moving to a warm, dry, pollution free climate would not have sounded like outrageous medical advice for the time. And San Diego would have been exactly that climate. Just say "due to his poor health and on a doctors advice, Brother Rutherford will be performing his duties from San Diego". Would it really have raised eyebrows to just be honest with everyone?
  
  He still could have drank his whiskey and ridden in his Cadillacs and no one would have been the wiser.

  Why is there any reason to believe that? For example, right around the time Hitler became Chancellor, Winston Churchill happened to be visiting Germany. Churchill was interested to meet this new leader who had been in the news so much lately. A dinner meeting was arranged, but at the last minute Hitler decided not to bother.
  
  If Hitler couldn't be bothered to meet Churchill who although not PM yet, was a well known MP, had been Lord of the Admiralty and was a member of the British aristocracy, then why in the world would he care to meet some country bumpkin leader of a barely known American sect of cranks?

  apparently, joe biden will be seeking re-election for another term in the white house.. this, despite a recent poll showing that 70% of people don't want him to run again.. biden just has to be the worst president i've seen.

  his gaffes, over-relience on a prompter, and, more than any other president, his refusal to answer journalists' questions, all go to make him top of the list in terms of bad presidents.. it will certainly provide entertainment, if nothing else..

  Oh, god, not the teleprompter outrage again? Didn't ya'll run that well dry using it against Obama? Maybe Biden can also wear a tan suit so we can really see the Republican pundits piss their pants in scripted outrage all over again...
  
  Republicans sound like one of those dolls where you pull the string on its chest and it has about 3 different phrases recorded.
  
  When Hillary was the nominee "OMG...worst candidate ever ever! She'll the destroy the country!"
  When Obama was President "OMG...worst President ever! He'll destroy the country!
  When Al Gore was nominee "OMG...worst candidate ever! He'll destroy the country!"
  When Bill Clinton was President "OMG...worst President ever! He'll destroy the country!"

  Young "Elders"

  ever since the annual meeting last october and the letter to bodies of elders stating that "exceptional young men perhaps in their early 20's could qualify for appointment as elders.." it even states this in the updated elders manual!

  have any of you pimo's, pimq's, or those on here with family/friends still in hear of any young men being appointed as elders yet?

  i am talking 21, 22, 23, 24 etc.

  Covid wasn't bubonic plague, but neither was it "wimpy". It killed 2 of my coworkers in the summer of 2020. You are without a doubt the most tiresome poster on this board. And that's saying alot.
  
  Also, why do conspiracy kooks love to use the word "Planet" so much? They never say "world" or "Earth". It's always "<insert paranoid nonsense> on the planet."
