The organization absolutely does coordinate and is responsible for appointments and activities within each congregation. It is the policies that cause the damage and if an elder were to act contrary to policy then his would roll.
This is I fear is an example of where the organization has used its legal prowess to absolve itself of any responsibility. They are masters of going through legal loopholes which amounts to nothing short of dishonesty.
hi everyone, was hoping i could share my experience, read other people's, and perhaps receive some advice regarding parenting through seperation.. so my wife of 8 odd years, and mother to my 3 children (8,6,3) and i have separated.
largely due to our differences not just with religion but all areas of life.
the breakup was amicable, and we remain somewhat friendly to one another while we work all this out.
1) Be a good dad, as advised above. Your children need to feel safe and secure with both parents. Be careful, if you push holidays etc then they will feel compromised in your company. Especially is this the case if your ex is strong in the truth. She will train them to have a bible-trained conscience and your children will feel very bad if you push anything that conflicts with watchtower ideology.
2) Be interested in their theocratic progress. Ask them how they’re getting on at meetings, giving talks and if they have had any ministry experiences. You can still casually talk to them about your atheism but never try and force it down them. NEVER be critical of Watchtower! In fact, it’s possible to be critical of god or Jehovah, but once you start being critical of the organization then your ex and your children will see you as a danger and your future with them will be under threat.
When they are older they will respect you and can make their own decision. In the meantime, your children will be encouraged to spend time with you and to honor you even if, sadly, the ultimate aim of mother and children will be to ‘win you without a word’ or in other words, to convert you to Watchtower.
apparently, according to my mother, the worst thing that could happen to me is not dying in a car crash or getting cancer but instead would be me leaving jehovah and his organization.
i of course realize this is the position of jws but to hear my own mother verbalize it on a gentle walk in the woods was painful to say the least.
needless to say, i cannot tell her i am mentally out..
Kind words and advice. Thank you.

and i don’t mean eddie money’s paradise.... you just can’t make this stuff up.
.
Just about sums up the intelligence of these horrid people.
anyone any idea if there have been any repercussions over whiskygate and if anthony morris was ushered into the backroom after a meeting?
i am pretty sure if this had been a member of the r&f and the video was all over the internet, something would have been said about being careful not to bring jah's organization into disrepute.
i am sure the local elders in the congregation he is assigned to wouldn't have the balls to do it and there would have to be a mole pretty high up to find out if the gb got involved.. we can but speculate i guess..
Although we make a big issue of this, they will not. They will make every justification you can think of and his reputation will remain untarnished. If a JW were to even acknowledge that they were aware of this clip, elders would begin to investigate the publisher’s internet habits and discipline might follow depending on position held.
i knew of a ministerial servant that was called out because he used fire crackers on the 4 th of july.
we had to have an emergency meeting as to his qualifications.
i remember imploring the body to not make a big issue over this and it was decided to just “counsel” him about being involved in a patriotic holiday.🤨.
Many witnesses get as close to celebrating these type of festivities as possible. They certainly do not ‘hate what is bad’ in this aspect and would quickly accept if the Governing Body said it was okay.
i do bible study and attend meetings.
”well i was away and i was going to attend in that city”.
i did everything right, i told my bible study conductors in advance and genuinely i wanted to see another hall.
At our Sunday morning ministry group, we had one sister (the elder’s wife) who insisted we had a group photo - every week. This was then sent on WhatsApp to the group and god knows who else. It became an informal register of who was present and absent each week.
