  i've been doing some research about famous witnesses.

  some were raised and eventually left, while others came in as adults.

  they range from sports players, musicians, and entertainers.

  another thing do you know how stupid it was to tell my elementary school teachers how we as witnesses don't celebrate christmas,and during the xmas play they would always play the micheal jackson christmas song? Stupid religion...if i could turn back time...sigh

  how the hell is the co-creator of dd a witness? Growing up a witness in the 80s dungeon and dragons was the ultimate demonized game (better than a quiji board some would say)

  I can only imagine how stupid i use to sound repeating this foolishness.You know how many dungeon and dragon clubs i could have joined?

  the following e-mail is circulating among jws about the international convention at fedex stadium in landover, md.

  note the all-too-familiar jw claims: everything they do (including the simple act of parking cars) is proof of jehovah'stm blessing, and everything wt did at the convention was the fastest, greatest, best ever.

  oh, and the never-fails-to-get-mentioned alleged 'persecution'/resistance from some unnamed authority who tried to get in watchtower's way and hamper the effort...but jws prevailed anyway (as always):.

  makes you almost miss the capitol center, on a side note

  Doubting brother how is it that you find time after a redskin game to tailgate i thought redskin fans would be looking for the nearest watering hole or a gun to put themselves out of misery this team has been a joke for a long time the only thing i look to the redskins for is to see if they beat my team the ravens cause everytime you guys beat us in the regular season we win a superbowl yeah GO RAVENS!!!!

  feels like just yesterday that i decided to stop going to the kingdom hall.

  after i got done reading crisis of conscience, i never felt the same about this religion ever again.

  i've been on an emotional rollercoaster for the past four years.

  a much more radical product of the synthesis of african and christian elements is the kitawala movement or so-called "watchtower movement", which appeared in katanga province during the 1920s.

  influenced by the black american missionary activity in south africa of the watch tower bible and tract society (jehovah's witnesses), the movement converted miners who then spread elements of the movement northward from their south african base into the katangan copper belt.. the british "reverend" james booth and his african associate elliott kamwana, both black, used watch tower publications but did not limit their preaching to the bible students message of charles taze russell (it does not seem that russell understood this at the time).

  i don't understand why so many ex jws and faders think that the jws will continue to grow and thrive as a religion.

  i still attend a meeting once a week and you can smell the death of the religion creeping up when you hear the talks, read the study wts and hear the letters from the gb.

  the way the organization has changed is a sign that it reached its peak (in "healthy" membership) long ago.

  people the vast majority of them are sheep

  the org isn't going anywhere as long as you have a large core of die hard jws that nod there heads at all the crazy crap that comes from the org

  this leads to family members that are awake but are trapped and it leads to kids that want to please their parents that are hooked to this crap thus you have a sizeable amount of people that will continue to pump life into this corpse of a religion
