he could find no scripture in which this term applied to jesus.. i found some good info.

rather than posting this to several threads, i thought i would make a single new thread.. having lived the jw 'anointed' life, here are some things i found to be true, some interesting, and some not so exciting:.

I HATE MY JOB!
by Elsewhere inthese people are trying to set me up.. i was brought in to migrate a web site to a new server.
when i finished they suddenly discover a serious problem on the new site.
as it turns out, i can demonstrate that the serious problem exists on the original site too.. i called the support desk to ask them if they have been getting any calls about this, they say no.

Because a verse can be read two ways, does not mean that your preferred way is correct. Reading in context, who was Jesus praying to? Why pray for not his will, but God’s will to be done if, in fact it is his will? In Romans 1:1 Jesus is called the High Priest and Apostle of God. Why call God an Apostle, who does God follow? Jesus is also called the “Only Begotten,” of God.
I agree with the book, “The Christian Doctrine of God” (page 226) “...The Trinity, proclaimed by the Church....from the fifth and six centuries onwards, is a pseudo mystery, which sprang out of an aberration of theological thought from the lines laid down in the Bible, and not from the Biblical doctrine itself.”
Another good book is “When Jesus Became God” shows the history of how this mistake took hold in the Church, and it was not pretty (on the penalty of death you must submit!).
Read the writings of the second to forth Century Post Apostolic Fathers, and it is clear that Jesus and God was looked on as two different persons (Polycarp and others used the term: “May the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.........” many times).
Jesus is Divine, it is the extent of his divinity that is misunderstood.

Hey, add a little “doom and Gloom” with some junk science and you got a lot of freaks out there trying to run your and my life. Its all about power.
How about the UN wanting a Tax on nations? They already have their “World Court” in place to nab any who break the Word laws, what ever that is. Can you see being dragged out of your bed by the UN police, because you did not pay your tax? Or, you broke some law?

by orangefatcat ini have been wondering, just how many of us here started looking into the injustices of the wtbs after being disfellowshipped.
did some of us look here in order to justify our anger because we were ousted.
did some have hatred right away or was it gradual?

What I have found out more and more after leaving the dubs (to my dislike) is the “us against them” mentality of the WT. Severing friends and Family alike by their shunning process.
It takes a lot of courage to give up having enemies. Unawakened people demand enemies......
