Yes...it's true. My posting is still restricted (this is my 1st of only 3 more allotted posts in the next 12 hours), and I am unable to start a new topic for about 1 more hour. I intended to discuss and engage in conversation....but this way is just kind of draining and frustrating to be honest. Profuse apologies.

Thanks for all the responses. To try to address everything with this one post (the last one I have for 12 more hours) would be tedious and extremely cluttered. New thread addressing everything Jeffro said about 607/1914 and everything ChristAlone said about the name Jehovah tomorrow. Going thru all the 607 threads and collecting information right now actually. I'll leave out the sattire this time. Haha.

Hanks talesin. Its refreshing to at least have someone notice my sincerity.
My purpose?: "I cannot long be in solitude, and to devote my working hours to a monotonous labour wholly devoid of stimulus: anymore than I can be content with my faculties, paralysed, made useless." - Jane Eyre
Take from that what you will.

All I wanted is YOUR opinions/perspective beyond the horse beaten 'WT is a cult' cliches. If there isnt one answer, write several. Its a perspective question, so there doesnt have to be ONE answer. I want to know what *REAL* problems affected *REAL* people. I'm trying to make amends for any blunder feigned on my part and I'm conveying an interest in you beyond the superficial theological 'im right you're wrong' perspective. If a discussion is ever realized, you will NEVER hear me say I won the debate. I could care less.
My goal for being here? Intellectual growth in understanding human beings and at the same time making sure I do not let anything in my religion go unchecked or unnoticed. I cannot consent to ignorance at this point in my life.

So people would rather be pedantic about the miniscule details of the question and instead pick it apart and not just simply answer the question.

Read the fine print, Outlaw. I said WHICH topic would wake a JW up, not what a person would say. Most people here didnt 'figure it out own their own'. Sure they had doubts/questions but the Internet had a significant role.
No it wasnt covered....the question also asks what JWN would like to see discussed. Obviously everyone has their own tipping point, but that thread was obviously more of a copious gang-up against me, rather than a consensual survey. Come on guys, read closely and dont be so quick to try to insult /dismantle what I said.

First of all I'd like to apologize on behalf of my "college dropout" thread. I intimated it as a humorous and SOMEWHAT true form of sattire. I didn't think people here would take it so seriously and literally. There were obvious inequivalences, of which I INFERRED the readers would subconsciously assume. I feel that perhaps it contused the reputation I had scarcely had by giving credence to stereotypes and perceptions that I'm yet another troll JW apologist who lacks ability to think critically and argue coherently. So if you're willing to take me and what I say in consideration once more, I'd like to really prove myself. I'm not that dense nor am I so shallow and given to misconcept as it perhaps came across. So I will put more effort into cohesive and serious posts henceforth.
So I'd like to take a poll: Which topic would you like to see a JW discuss most? Another way of putting it, what topic do you think would undoubtedly cause him to wake up to 'the truth about the truth'.
Evolution, 607, 1914, blood, Trinity brochure, the name Jehovah, child abuse, disfelowshipping, etc.?
or maybe something that lead you to become an atheist or convert to another religion.

Oh yeah dont forget to point out at Harvard you can choose to leave anytime you want and you still have your friends and family. But if you leave the WTS, you are shunned. Really pointing out obvious things like this and being pedantic about every little statement of the illustration is a sign of debility, not the intellectual prowess you're trying to flaunt by disproving my point. It shows that when you read it, you used no critical thinking skills to make reasonable or implied inferences.
Sad.

I think this thread illustrates quite clearly that people here take things a wee bit too seriously. A humorous, slightly metaphorical sattire has been dissected, overanalyzed, and argued against as if I intimated it to be some grandiose illustration. I'm honestly surprised someone didnt log on to Harvard's website and show me I didnt reach the required length or tell me you dont even write letters. Good grief! Obviously the illustration isnt completely equivocal to what happens as a JW. It's a comparison, and the humorous alliteration should have made that obvious. You dont have to point out that you are not literally shunned and not spoken to if youre expelled. And then people are so bent on tooting their own intellectual horns, that they point out obvious inequivalencies that are obvious to all who used their brain when they read it?
i hope you're proud that youve dismantled my little argument. Whatever you have to do yo boost your own ego and self esteem.
