Mid - Week Meeting This Week

i took an elderly friend to the meeting last night.

the study is in the "imitate their faith" book which is merely a compilation of previous short stories about bible characters that were featured in a series of watchtower articles.. they waste no time beginning their spinning and supposition with the cain/abel story.

a new thought. Why would Abel become a shepherd with so few people on earth? They didn't eat meat.

yeah, why would "god" be pleased with carrion as a gift? if meat did not become cosher for higher predators until after the flood? vegetarians all, except god?

next week the flood!! --while the angels were still twirling the swords, while Noah nursed his sore muscles from all that hand&arm powered woodwork. and lions, tigers eating straw, even in the ark, leaving the count of the animals at par for the trip.

If you Imitate Their Faith, you must have an Imitation Faith. There was no talking snake, twirling swords, flood.

Why doesn't God need a creator, while the Universe does?

i asked this question of a jw that called on me yesterday: "if the universe requires a creator, why doesn't god?

if the universe must have a beginning, why doesn't god?

he claims to have an answer, but it must wait for next time he calls.. i'm hoping you guys can give me a heads-up as to what he will say.

The universe is expanding......which means we'll never run out of real estate. :sunglasses: and

surprisingly, that expansion is found to be accelerating, into the void containing (dark) energy, that fuels the acceleration. Energy that was always there. perhaps. Always was always there too. making an uncreated creator non-god feasible.

i asked this question of a jw that called on me yesterday: "if the universe requires a creator, why doesn't god?

if the universe must have a beginning, why doesn't god?

he claims to have an answer, but it must wait for next time he calls.. i'm hoping you guys can give me a heads-up as to what he will say.

no takers? well here is the [non relativistic] answer:

The universe by increasing in girth by 44 meters will increase in size to allow a Giraffe to stand between the previous radius and the newer one. in all directions; or working in feet measure, a 44 feet increase in extent will allow a human to stand in the imaginary gap seen as the expansion. works for the earth too. lots of space created for very little surface gain. surprises on both sides of the divide.

do you need to have faith in it?. well, for a wt believer , to have the "assured expectation" you have to believe the unbelievable, Imitation Faith: Chapter 1, the talking snake, the offering of un-eatable carrion by "Abel", Chapter 2, flood , to make sure all animals die. Lucky whales, no wonder they still sing. yes if as a jw you not believe this, have faith, you're out, soon an outcast. believe it or not.

This week, after the meeting, recalling the final comments about the upcoming "flood" discussion, I showed one builder the pictures on page 21,- assembly of the hull. using tar as glue, and dowels as rivets, bolts. hand sawn, hewn 12x12, 2x12s. Could see it falling apart already, got tired, muscle pain just by looking at it.

a brighter light I queried about the water above Everest: had to be above above the highest mountain to make sure no animal would escape by chance so: ~9000 meter of rainwater fell in 40 days. ~ 220 meters a day. ~10 meters an hour, not just in Texas, where things are big, but all over the world. non stop 10 meters an hour. maybe Old Faithful helped from underneath.-- Go to the meetings early to let them have it.

world news daily has a die-hard right-wing bias.

so, in an effort to get real information, i'm asking my european exjw's, is this article all true?

Thanks you - the response of the German people has been inspiring.

Not totally true. People in Dresden feel otherwise. Weekly demonstration, people beat up by police like under Honecker regime. i they demand Poland, Czechs and Slovaks to house them. This will not happen, even under threat of war. . Any confrontation between Germany and post-election Poland due refugee crisis will only destabilize already failed EU experiment.

just for laughs, the old east, dark germany will reject immigrants just like the eastern neighbours, Putin will move back into his Dresden, Leipzig offices. wall will be build again in the same location, to keep them out,-- not in-- this time. ha ha.

Then inflate the balloon - the dots and galaxies move away from each other because the balloon (space) is expanding,--"
If you measured that imaginary balloon, perhaps at least 30 billion light years around, and then added 44 meters to that size, would a mouse, or proton fit everywhere inside the imaginary gap between the two sizes?
The answer (although off topic) is to show you that surprises await us on these questions.
