Are Jehovah's Witnesses marriages even legit?
by Joliette ini ask this because of the circumstances behind why they get married and who they get married by.
i know people say that they are really in love, they love jehovah, etc, but are these marriages even legit.
i've talked to older jw's sister who are now widowed, some of them say that they were trapped in a marriages.

Lets also remember that god made a covenant with Noah to save him and his family. Nowhere was there a provision to save anyone else. In the book of Peter where it says that Noah was a preacher that's complete bunk. Also after the flood god wants Noah to sacrifice animals to him because he likes the sweet smell, so how many animals went extinct?. And last but not least god regrets killing man and even though he knows man will be evil again he says he will never kill mankind off this way, So what was the point of doing it in the first place.Even ~70 % of individuals in many animal species were to be killed, even though they survived the flood. and Jesus said the Great Tribulation, Armageddon will be like Noah's experience. We hope you are clean! -

Back to the OP, torn I am a believer, as you know, and go to church. Most Protestant churches believe (tho they don't talk about it much) that people go to heaven, and sometime in the future, there is an earthly hope,
Does not the Catholic credo also stipulate the brief "resurrection of the flesh" for judgement of the last day?
Deism: wait and see, or not, but use your time on this paradise earth wisely; that is why people heading for greener fields by the millions right now into Europe. Heaven and the 70 virgins can wait.

Book Review: The Hunt for Vulcan: . . . And How Albert Einstein Destroyed a Planet, Discovered Relativity, and Deciphered the Universe
by Viviane ini recently read this book and found it to be excellent.
it's the story of how we never stop knowing, how science works (even when it doesn't), how gracefully math can describe the world we live in and more.
the story begins with how sir isaac newton, author of pricipia mathematica and holder of the lucasian chair at cambridge, developed math to describe the gravity and the motion of the planets with no need god holding them in place.

There is very few oxigine on that height, now and at that time as well.
All the Oxygen that was at sea and ground level would have been lifted up too. There needed to be no Oxygen masks on the ark, neither was it pressurized. the decrease in pressure because of the expanded atmosphere would have been equivalent to climbing a 3 story building. The problem is not the heights, it is the water to get it 9000 meter deep and get rid of it. Imagine a faith build on fables like your's too. -

The whole flood story is a fairytale.
All the mountains were flooded. So how did they breath all that time on top of the mount Everest
A rising tide lifts all boats and the air around them. that breathing is not the problem, It is a high tale of hot air

It can not be on an eternal earth, for the Sun would have to be purged of its helium, and re -supplied with Hydrogen. Not only a new Earth, a new heavenly Sun too. As far as we know, the deist's creator does not violate his laws, even natural laws; so if you are conscious after your last breath, be very surprised, hopefully pleasantly. -

Achilles heel of Watchtower publications
by Gorbatchov inthe wts has published over it's existence during the years a flood of books and magazines.
many of the content of this publications includes topics about the medical, social, history field and also counsel about life style.. the achilles heel of all these publications is, that they are written mainly by amateurs, without verification and validation.
most of it is worthless.

they got away with it, because nobody seriously educated ever read them, and any comments to the effect that they were flawed were squelched.
