  various posters have apparently concluded that the wt society is wrong by quoting hebrews 13.17 as a reason for christians to submit to, and be "obedient" to those taking the lead among them.

  they have pointed out that the greek word for obedience is "hypakouo" or some other, not "pei'tho" which is the one that appears in the beginning of verse 17 at hebrews ch.

  their motive for their objections may be one of rancor brought about by the extreme authoritative measures the society have imposed on the brotherhood.

  my health took a beating over the years with stress from various sources, not a little from the wt; and dangerous areas of work involving fumes and so on.

  the arc also took its toll and i have had recently a heart attack.

  some people point out the subliminal pictures in the wtbts publications but sometimes things are just so obvious, such as the title of the book above.. the person who came up with the title for this book must have had a good old laugh.. interestingly, this book first came out in 1988 and has not been included in the online library but nothing has replaced it.

  the org is really going backwards when they ditch old light and cannot come up with anything new.

  How can a "body" lead? if it has no head? a 7 headed Hydra?, The Knorr/Franz combination was a good one,

  Knorr leading in procedure and Franz in "spirituality" aka nutty doctrines.

  I would be interesting to see a true man, like Trueman from MO raise to the occasion, just for fun, but whoever really rules seems to find the G.O.D of 7 +- effective.

  My Explanation of God.

  i am a theist & this is my version of god.. instead of using the term god, i'll use "unseen presence".. this unseen presence, is perfect in every way.

  this presence is so perfect it can seem a bit boring.this perfection can be seen in the laws of science, for example gravity.. it does not sometimes work, depending on the mood of some one in the sky, it always works, perfectly.

  gravity does not get angry and decide to stop working, and cause the death of innumerable living beings, it just works, through thick or thin, it is reliable.. what allows this unseen presence to remain perfect, is the fact that it does not act based on emotion, or strategy or regret.. it acts based on law, mathematical law.. this unseen presence is not partial to jews or muslims or jw's it is completely impartial at all times, to everything that exists.

  imho: all we can know about the unseen is the record left behind, the works, but everyone's vision is unique, like a rainbow, that not really exists, but is a refracting back of sunlight, and everyone's rainbow is different. There are billions of different visions about the works, the universe, and most of it we can not see, it is beyond the horizon, outside our personal time cone. So be content with the travel through time you have, fully. If a creator wanted more for - or from you, he would tell you.

  Sexual reproduction as an argument against evolution

  about a day ago startrekangel mentioned that an idea was put forward by a jw that sexual reproduction was an argument against evolution.

  here's startrekangel's quote: "is this some kind of talk being spread around in congregations?

  the funny thing is that a while ago someone tried to make the same argument, saying they could disprove evolution because no one can explain how we evolved male and female at the same time.

  would favour some gametes to evolve ever smaller sizes at greater numbers, because these can fertilize gametes better. LUHE

  Is there not a news items about rats bigger game-tes than elephants ? and Evolution is favored by sexual reproduction, more mix mutation possible 2 possible areas, long term ova and short term sperm, more mix to fill more niches, fun too, and better then cloning, the ultimate incest.
