A Seal Ring bearing King Hezekiah's found in Jerusalem excavation, with ankh symbol and winged sun
by fulltimestudent infrom a story in the jewish press:.
quote: "the city of david excavations of the jerusalem hebrew university on mount ophel, at the foot of the southern wall of the temple mount compound, have yielded a sensational discovery: a seal (bulla) with the name of king hezekiah (727-698 bce).".
"king hezekiahs bulla was discovered in a garbage heap that was dumped during or shortly after hezekiahs time, from a royal building that was used to store food.

In That Hour
by berrygerry inlooks like wt didn't like getting schooled by angus on the no-witness rape in deut.. geoff later sent in a written statement:.
329 it was suggested to mr jackson that this scripture provided the basis for the governingbody not to apply the twowitness rule in the case of sexual abuse, or that it called into question the proper foundation to the twowitness rule in the case of sexual abuse.
mrjacksons answer was to say that the jehovahs witnesses believe that there is a properfoundation to the rule because of the number of times that it is emphasised in thescriptures.607 mr jackson did not say that there is no prospect of modifying theapplication of the twowitness rule within scriptural requirements so as to make itinapplicable to cases of sexual abuse.330 in a statement provided to the royal commission after the close of the public hearing,mr jackson offered an alternative explanation of deuteronomy 22:2327 to that whichhe had accepted in oral evidence.608 in his statement mr jackson explained that themans guilt had been judged at an earlier stage in deuteronomy, and that the referencedverses dealt only with establishing guilt (or absence thereof) on the part of thewoman.609 in his statement, mr jackson did not seek to explain the reason for thedifference between his oral and written evidence as to context of deuteronomy 22:2327.331 it is submitted that there is little utility in attempting to resolve the conflict between mrjacksons oral and his subsequent written evidence on the subject of the relevance ofdeuteronomy 22:2327 to the flexibility of the twowitness rule.however, it is open tothe royal commission to note the difficulty experienced by even a member of the governing body in arriving at an interpretation of deuteronomy 22:2327 which renders it irrelevant to the application of the twowitness rule.. .

@ prologos - Hahaha. I never took notice of the door. That's hilarious!! LOL
I think it was a tactic to thumb the nose at the commission, to show that they did not merit a dignified setting for the witness. this was an off -site event. wt managed.

Why didn't Jehovah know the flood wouldn't work?
by OverlappingGeneralizations inthis has been something that is bugging me lately-.
jehovah is all knowing.
he knows that to do away with evil, he has to do away with satan.

May be the creator is not Jehovah, the rather limited personality cooked up in the Canaanite Region.
May be the creator is more like us in the sense, that as an eternal being he is already in the future, watching what evolves. watching the news of what happens as we move through time toward him.
Flood? too many facts found against farfetched fable.

Samuel Herd's Schabowski moment
by Gorbatchov inthe samuel herd broadcasting about the layoff of fulltime wts employees, made me think about the gunter schabowski press conference in november 1989.. the correlations:.
- samuel and gunter read their message from paper.
uninterested, not enough informed.

The communists asked sacrifices "now" for a better worker's paradise later, with harsh quotas , austerity imposed, with that proletariat paradise delayed, people started voting with their feet, the walls were build, and the gunter's misunderstood command opened the floodgate(s). Are there millions or a large percentage of jws ready to bolt, because they are tired waiting for the wt paradise ? do they even know they are behind a controlling wall, with their family held hostage, a better world out there? a paradise hope fading past 2075 into the future? what single pronouncement, misinterpreted would cause a stampede to leave the wt world? -

kill satan while he was at it. That would spoil the fun, The Devil is the stalking horse that raises the victims he can take water/fire pot shots at. using cluster bombs. -

Obviously he deals with one irritant at a time, inter-creation sex? what is scary is the intended co-lateral damage, even Everest was flooded to make sure all animals died. Next time he promises to use fire. and asbestos has been found to cause cancer. The only way out is the KH. -

FB experience
by WasOnceBlind inso on last saturday, one of my good child hood friends (i consider her like a real sister) who is da posted on facebook that she was going to be having a birthday party for her son.
well another person we grew up with immediately posted a comment about how she should know better then to celebrate bdays and referenced 2 peter 2:20-22 (about being like a dog turning to its own vomit).
i countered with with luke 11:37-49 and didn't hear back.

good comments and suggestions, but why would god hate birthdays??? because he is a jealous god, and his special day comes only every 365 000 years. and blowing out an indefinite no of candles for eternity really sucks, and blows. -

Funny grammar error in German Watchtower
by processor inthey seem to have laid off their proofreaders.
in the new 03/2016 study watchtower there is a picture description:a mature young person does not act like a friend of god at the kingdom hall but a friend of the world at school.
the german issue saysein reifer junger mensch verhalt sich im konigreichssaal nicht wie ein freund jehovas und in der schule wie ein freund der welt.

My mother tongue is French , TheFadingAlbatros, and it shows, you version came in at 27 words, mais precise, versus 23* for prologos. and 22 for the processor versions,
I still think Prologos' version has merit, for it puts the positive where it is intended (the Hall), and the negative where it belongs, (the school) in wt 's eyes. :---does nicht act as a friend of the world in school.--" nyet.
prologos, take that for shameless self promotion: Eigenlob stinkt, Freundenlob hinkt, Fremdenlob singt.
* the extra word was "junger", so Prologos is 22 too, la racine de la langue de Moliere would add 5 more.
added: a stronger expression still would have been to use "niemals" instead of "nicht"
