There are always those that believe they personally are "that generation", they will do anything, believe anything, to make hat come true. after all, this is the only generation that the living have, wt-adherents are not.

Is the Watchtower shy about repeating their new "generation" teaching?
by slimboyfat inas i recall in the 1980s talks and watchtower literature, magazines and books were always talking about the "generation" teaching and how it proved armageddon was going to come any day now.. but am i correct in thinking they have only actually mentioned the new "overlapping generations" teaching once or twice in the literature?
why are they so shy about talking about their great new interpretation?
it's almost enough to make you suspect they are a embarrassed about it.. mention it once or twice, don't dwell on it, hope everyone just accepts it, and don't bring it up again.

sb: "Finkelstein, what scripture is that?
Acts 1:7. "--The father has put time in his own jurisdiction--", even Einstein was not to sure about time. Time is the latter day forbidden fruit, you touch it at your own risk.
Of course, Jesus was talking then to the not-yet anointed apostles, who in turn never were the Faithful & Discrete Slave, they lived before 1919, so, Jesus' words don't apply to the present 7, oracles --right?

The cannibalistic / human sacrifice reference in John 6 also sinks the wt interpretation of it. A partaking for all is clearly implied. Partaking will lead to everlasting life, an assured resurrection, not directly* to immortality as the wt "144 000 anointed " doctrine has it.
* in the "revelation" book they hint, that partaking leads to everlasting life on earth, and the "anointed" have to sacrifice that aquired right to go to heaven.

The 1975 Generation---are they still around?
by minimus ini was raised as a jw and 1975 expectations were pretty intense.
as i recall, most people did not leave after the failed expectations but many s l o w e d down.
now, i think most of the 1975 witnesses are gone or barely in.. is the older generation still around in the kingdom halls or are they much gone?.

any long-time witness over 55 would remember it, the over 65 year olds could have been a driving force in that lemming - like lunacy. If still in, they could be of the of the "defender of the doctrine" type, feeling that "jehovah" really likes stubborn stoics, and be puzzled at the easy-going, who cares about specific doctrine new generation. If you live in a retirement area, Florida, the Pacific northwest, there would be a lot of them in the 80 to 90+ range.

by Coded Logic inthe james webb telescope is set to launch in october of 2018 and will allow us to study the formation of first generation stars, the molecular clouds that became the first galaxies, and directly image exoplanets.
roughly one hundred times more powerful than the hubble space telescope the jwst is going to push back the current boundaries of science.. this is what 100-million man hours can accomplish.. .

may be looking at these pictures to come like in the COBE survey, some researcher will wax awed again and exclaim " the hand of god".

yeah, that looks like a really segregated beach. perhaps a picture of the "after the thousand year" realm, when the races=nations have retreated into their "four corners of the Earth" and this the almost all white corner?
