  picture yourself as a member of the brooklyn bethel family on friday morning, october 2, 1914. you are seated at your usual place at the breakfast table, awaiting the arrival of brother c. t. russell.

  suddenly the door to the dining room opens and brother russell appears.

  he pauses for a moment, as is his custom, and greets the bethel family with a cheery “good morning, all.” but then, instead of immediately taking his place at the head of the table, he claps his hands and makes a thrilling announcement: “the gentile times have ended; their kings have had their day!” you can hardly contain your joy—you have been looking forward to this moment for a long time!

  overlapping generation is a joke Steve,

  agreed, but I was not mentioning the overlapping generation. It is the anointed generation, before it even had to start overlapping. The overlap is the icing on the cake, the meat of the pie is in the definition, mathematically of the anointed generatio. that is why the "Armageddon in Mat. 24" is relevant to stop wt. it's claim to be spirit directed.

  The '75 teaching is almost unknown to JWs under 40.
  It is irrelevant, but that's just my opinion. Steve:

  Yours is a solid opinion.but, I used the "75" only to mark the repeated pattern of wt splicing the old yarn of the end and also to catch the attention of the over 40 year olds, way less than half my age. so:

  today, we do not have to wait, like in 1969, whether there is any truth to the wt "expectations" .because answering the Math.24 "armageddon spoken about here? " question, will settle the case right here. so, any takers?

  Prologos, all the guys that pushed '75 are dead. Tevie Wonder Boy,

  sorry, I too pushed that "75-- then paradise" idea, second hand of course. My thread is not about the past but the now. wt now promotes the anointed generation lasting to 2075, but it was dead already when it was written, a decade ago, and i started this to be asked to prove to those that still need that additional profo.

  why does the wt interpret matt.24:34 "truly i say to you this generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur.

  " as having overlapping generations ?

  and not applying the same reasoning to any other scripture/s referring to a generation or this generation .?

  Stevie Wonder Boy, no, they are only in their 40s and 50s, they have their remembrance days,years, but: if you'd have read the thread it is not even abou 2075, it is about the now, where wt anointed doctrine has sunk. and for the benefit of fading lurkers.
