Scripture fatigue
by New day ini wondered why i felt so fatigued over many years from hearing the same things again and again at the meetings.
even the scriptures become too familiar.
a few days ago i quickly read through all the gospels and realised i knew all the verses in detail.

having to memorise where these ideas were in the bible . chapter and verse took the life out of the enterprise, now proudly only carry a note book to meetings. -

Little Thought for Lurkers, oringinal sin?
by Diogenesister injust one little thought....adam & eve ate the fruit from the tree "of the knowledge of good & evil".
so..in other words, before they ate they did not know right from wrong...hmmmm so how can you blame someone who does not know right from wrong?.
for a crime to take place in human law you must have the act - 'actus reus' - and the guilty mind or 'mens rea' as it is termed.

since they were supposed to have been made in God's image and he must have had an idea in mind about good and bad, why did they even have to eat the fruit to gain that knowledge? and why would the fruit or the result be forbidden when you need to know what is good or not to make it? And why would you need a tree of life if you were created perfect without the possibility of dying ? (for God does not die)? -

So ... Russia and Nato at war? Should we be worried?
by Simon init seems unbelievable but turkey (a nato member state) shooting down a russian jet fighter on their syrian border seems to be "meh" news and no one is too bothered about it too much.. the world seems a bit upside down right now.
i don't think a lot of countries really know who the hell they are fighting and who is and isn't on their side in it all and really what is going on.. smaller incidents than this have led to major conflicts in the past but hopefully calm heads will prevail.
china shot down a us spy plane years ago and the world survived and forgot about it so things will move on i'm sure.. i'm guessing the price turkey pays for their gas supply from russia will be going up soon though.. man, that republican primary is sucking all the news attention from the room.

Russia might be in recession, but seems to have an effective military, and like Nazi Germany could prevail in any Blitz type local conflict, I would be a refugee from that situation too. The turkish story of the radar recorded flight-path, their order to turn away turn south seems credible, the missile was fired at a target that was intruding, took it's effect over different territory. shooting at soldiers coming down in parachutes? sad, but making sure they don't do it again. Heard US veterans brag about it. -

not the latest, but recent pictures showing jesus walking the waves look very close to surfing, not done barefoot though, There was a story of energetic Bethelites heading east from Brooklyn to the Atlantic to catch a wave or two before breakfast., If re-assigned, now even with more freedom. ride the energy. -

Is this is about Turkey or the turkeys lining up to run Amerika? at least the Republicans have Marco Rubio, the David Splane look-alike with hair. Ronald Reagan had hair and balls too, brains reserved for his advisors. this is not about the oil, it's the gas. More variables here to confound all prophets.
added. what a good excuse for Russia to totally arm their military presence in Syria. another outpost, like Okinawa. Guam. Diego Garcia.

"This Generation" that will not pass away -- are the Wicked;- anointed or not.
by prologos in1generation2groups made good observation,: jesus was talking to earthly hope believers, like their contemporaries.
but according to wt writers, "jesus had in mind" a greater fulfillment, where the earthly class would never pass away (flesh would be saved), but the anointed would be alive and witness part of the great tribulation, but die, resurrect, be gathered, raptured before the climatic armageddon.
so who could be left that will eventually pass away but be kept alive until "all these things" including armageddon ---occur?

Vidiot. great idea, because the whole generation idea that wt has generated clearly belongs into the 'humour' section.
Seeing whether a "generation" theory really fits the picture as claimed by wt writers is easy, when one looks at what the bible says about it; It has to survive Armageddon but ultimately die. so, a now living, latter day Methuselah even without the help of the ransom would only need a ~ 40 year overlap to make the lake of fire.
To make the anointed fit the bill, the wt geniuses only have to bring back the old idea of the anointed class surviving Armageddon and get paradise supervised and kickstarted. May be D.Splaine would get a kick out of that idea.

He probably thinks the rich relative in the USA surely keeps her account overflowing, and wt and profiteers are harvesting the elderly's meager means of life. -

"--China shot down a US spy plane years ago--" I remember it was a joyriding fighter pilot who did aerobatics too close and got caught in the propeller, any way, -- a long drawn out hostage drama, leaving the mighty USA dangling in an impotence stalemate.
Yeah, an interesting situation with The Russian base so close , and a narrow strip of Turkey that can be crossed in a few seconds near by. Reminds me of the Berlin airlift, with hundreds of allied planes in 2 corridors at all times over soviet controlled territory, and nuclear -capable B-29 US bombers sans bombs stationed in England. --
Now, the victim Russia,--An Ace in Putin's hand of cards, ready to play it when and how he wants to, at his terms. but he should remember the Gallipoli lesson.

Ex-Jehovah's Witness elder jailed for sex assaults on schoolgirl

this is from the last part of the article: .
"this was about sexual gratification and you are a hypocrite because you became an elder and you investigated a sexual matter even with this in your sexual background.".

r-8: "-speculation about her being near the age of consent is moot.-"
we don't know, but she could have been of legal marrying age***, at least in some western jurisdictions at the time, and the whole question really was: "why did this possibly to happen outside marriage?"
***12. sick.but legal.

One benefit of these publicised convictions, court cases, these discussions, even in the local papers is, that it will deter and give pause to active pedophiles to suppress, control their urges, and see the error, and consequences of their ways, particularly on their potential prey.
I can not help but think though, that this particular verdict is a belated attempt by the local authorities to show their commitment to deal with this issues, seeing that Rotherham is just across the park so to speak, with it's infamous child rapes and inaction scandals. .
