every so often something strikes me about the dubs or bible as i read on here or just think.

not all are topic worthy, but i like thinking about things in different ways and when others share little things that struck them.

i'll share two for now, feel free to add your own to the list.. i was thinking the other day about the scripture saying the "for a certainty i perceive that god is not partial".

There were no carnivores before the flood, so why would the author of that situation favor the offering of carrion by Abel over the good vegetables of Cain? and what happened to all the carrion not sacrificed during the pre-flood creative days?

great article...chinese were brewing beer 5,000 years ago.... not bad considering it's not far off adam & eve... :).

Saved by Baptism and the Start of the G.T.

so, the official teaching is that baptism saves jw's from armageddon (1 peter 3:21), in the same way that the ark saved noah (jesus - not sure why jesus needs saving, though), his wife (the remnant - wt aug 15, 1990) and the six others (the other sheep - wt sep 1, 1989).. jehovah himself shut the door of the ark, and after seven days, the rain started to fall.

this shutting of the door corresponds to the start of the g.t., afterwhich no one can become baptized and saved, but must live with their personal agony throughout the g.t., knowing that they were this close to being inside the ark.. now, let's say that the g.t.

starts on the third saturday of april, 13:00 (1:00 pm) greenwich time, and the g.t.

And why did the fallen sons of God not clear out a floor or two of the ark, and haul in a bunch of girls and women to keep the sex-party going?

The physics have been worked out, and the floodwaters must have benn quite hot, fallen from that hights, so, may be they got stuck in a hot tub-like scene, after all rain was a novelty, hot rain--add sex, --why bother the goats?

it has been 21 years since the 1995 article that pretty much buried the idea of the '1914 generation'.. remember those guys?

the ones born in 1914 that would still be alive when the end of the system arrived.. i'm glad i'm old enough to remember going from door to door, preaching this belief.

the reason i say that is because i have a lot of 'still in' jw friends and family.

We went to the doors with the premise, that we are right, and the householder is wrong. well look back to the "superior Authority" fiasko.just as one example.

Of course wt writer want to make sense of it all, score any hit like they did in 1914, although except the date, everything was wrong. so did early bible writers, guessing how creatin works, no help from the creator or His Spirit whatsoever. so, TD has a point, there always are generations coming and going. Look to science what it generates in the generations to come.

(paranoid much) this is the foretold "prophecy" of the governments turning on religion and saving them for last.since the couple portrayed as simplifying their life by getting rid of a lot of material things is shown to be (about) the same age in the bunker we know it must be any minute now that it will happen.

i have been out for over 35 years and things seem to be getting more bizarre each year.. when did this doctrine really become main stream?

If I knew the authorities were coming to the bunker to get me, I wouldn't be there. The authorities would be the least of my worries, particularly the wimps that now protect, uphold the state in Europe.

Since the concorde is retired, they are out of luck, just like all of Noah's living relatives, parents--chainsaws to cut your way in were not available yet.

Lets not forget where the danger came from during the passover in Egypt. Families hunkered down in their houses, fearing for their firstborn. At least later, there was wine service.
