  Torn between worlds - How do you manage to co-exist?

  like many doubting witnesses, i am in (physically) and out (mentally).. .

  i have family in (physically) and i have family out (mentally).. some of my family are out (physically) but are somewhat still in (mentally) due to the mind control.. how do i deal with it?

  i don't know - some days go by and i just get on with life.

  truthseeker, I thought you were already out. Hmm....maybe it was different truthseeker.

  For my personality, I had to be either completely in or completely out. So I never had a pleasure of double life. The most difficult part was when I slowly realizing that I had to get out of there, which I should have done a long time ago.

  It was easier for me because I already had friends and families who are not jws. Truthseeker, find new friends. Little by little build a new life. If your friends and family are going to abandon you, they will do it sooner or later. Don't expect them to understand. All they are going to do is to hurt you. You are welcome here and we all be your friends. You can email me anytime.

  Hello, I am pregnant!!!

  i'm in my 9th week.

  after a miscarriage last year, i was waiting for this one.

  i'm very happy except that i'm getting more morning sickness.. ugh, i can't stand beef, chicken, greens.

  Oh, thank all of you for your thoughts and advices.

  This my 2nd pregnancy but (hopefully) will be our first child. So far I don't have any craving yet. All foods make me sick. But I'm trying to have a little bit every couple of hours.

  Thank you Frannie. I'll try Vitamin B. I've been taking prenatal vitamin. But it's been making me sick.

  I am soooo tired.

  What does property cost where you live?

  i just saw on tv that a 3 bedroom detached property with swimming pool in florida costs the exact same as my 2 bedroom apartment on the coast in england.

  i was totally suprised by this.

  as there are quite a few american posters here, i am curious as to housing costs in other areas.

  What Ways Did You Rebel Against The Elders & The "Truth"?

  i used to get a kick out of how some people used to push the elder's buttons.

  sisters would wear a dress that was 1 inch above the knee just to get the brothers going.

  or brothers would grow something a little longer than a mustache......what did you do to exert your independence??

  One time (on a Thanksgiving weekend) a brother was preaching to his bible study how bad it is to celerbrate Thanksgiving Day. I was there just listening in the beginning, but when I had a chance, I looked at his bible study ( by the way this poor man wanted Thanksgiving Day ) and asked, "So have you had a turkey yet? It's on sale at the store. I had one on Thursday."

  leaving mid-meeting for no reason because I was bored.

  Oh, I did that SOOOO many times towards the end. In fact, in the last few months of attending meetings, I don't think I ever stayed for an entire meeting, when I actually went. I was bored out of my skull.

  I wished for so many times doing that, but I didn't have enough courage at that time. But sometimes I suddenly developed a headache or got so tired, and I could tell that excuses.

  my mother told me that her bookstudy overseer asked his group this question---"why do you think a mature brother in the truth would just suddenly leave and stop coming to meetings?

  any ideas?

  A jw told me that it is better to get DF'd than DA'd. It seems like you have quite a few family members who are jws.
