No forgiveness needed. It's obvious that some old friends appreciated seeing you post again.

suffice to say most of us appreciate favorable comments when we initiate a thread.
even in our jw days, after an assembly part, student talk, public talk etc.
the kind words of our brothers and sisters contributed to our self-esteem.

good points bizzybee, clarity. . . . .
"Goodbye" threads and vows not to post anymore are almost epidemic on message boards. They're akin to repeated threats of suicide, designed to gain attention, condolences, reassurances. This behavior is manipulative, transparent and self-centered but many buy into it time and again and rush to the aid of the "victim", pledging their undying support, love and most of all, attention. The drama creates a situation beyond normal give and take, mutual appreciation and camaraderie.

The reference to JWD, however, has me puzzled ... I've read most of the posts and several mention JWD. Unless I've overlooked something.
CC
Of course, CC, it's JWN. I must have had a senior moment OR that may have been the abbreviation for Jehovah's Witnesses Discussion Board.
Curtains: Of course, humans NEED positive reinforcement. My question was framed to as to draw attention to HOW MUCH support a poster requires to continue posting. Does one cease and desist if everyone is not enraptured with your ideas or how they are presented? Do you see which way the proverbial wind is blowing before commenting or initiating a thread? If some of your material is not well received do you pick up your marbles and go?

this is totally hypothetical, extremely silly.
i was having one of my frequent "senior moments".
please hear me out.
"How far superior are angels/demons supposed to be over us? remember, in Noah's day they wanted to have sex with humans so the gap between them and us is not as wide as say...animals and humans, is it?
Demons hate us, so would be very unfair in a JC. Just like the elders...so nevermind!!!"
Very true, factfinder, but what if demons saw you as a corrupting influence they might want to keep in the fold? Of course, this is all crazy talk. . . . . or isssssssssssssssss it?????????

Idrnomo. . . . . . interesting nic. . does it involve doctor no more? Or since you're from Washington state and born in 1946 Stan Boreson's dog No Mo?

Of course, as JW's we did not have the opportunity to select those who might oversee our judicial hearing. Frail, imperfect humans even under the alleged influence of holy spirit, may not actually be the best option. What about being judged by a tribunal of three wicked spirits? Here are some possible advantages.
1. Demons are mentally superior~recall man was created "a little lower than the angels"
2. Demons understand the pain of disfellowshipping having been kicked out of heaven in 1918(yeah, right! lol!)
3. Demons are not "babes as to badness". . . nothing will shock these guys
4. Demons are swayed by "fear of man"
5. Demons can see through "covering over a sin". This might not be actually an advantage depending on your priorities

curiouser & curiouser. . . . . first "Grandma Jones" threatens to dig up some of my old posts for whatever reason. Next, "grandson" posts on "grandma's" account asking for an account of his own which is granted. Now, "grandson" sounding exactly like "grandma" posts excerpts from my old posts just as "grandma" threatened to do. The reality of this is irrelevant, but semi-interesting. Either the apple(grandson) falls incredibly close to the tree(grandma) or a troller is double trolling from the same computer with an identical style, grammar, sentence structure, etc.
