share your reaction after reading CoC and ISoCF
by suavojr inafter reading coc and isocf i cried, i was in shock, disillusioned, angry, and afraid... anyone wants to share their experience?.
i would like to see what you think about these questions when compared with your account.. why people from different backgrounds feel similar reactions?
(cannot be a conpiracy).

by Darth Rutherford init's been a while since i've posted anything about myself.
i've been on jwn for a couple of years.
my leaving the organization was not because i lost my faith, but i left because of my faith.

You said: I'll admit it, I do like to think there is an afterlife. It’s a beautiful thought. I like to think my grandfather is there and happy to see I freed his family lineage from the chains that once shackled us for over a hundred years. Maybe it’s just a dream –just a vestige of all that inculcation years ago. But it makes me smile. If there is a loving God, he will bring us all home one day. If there’s not, well, I guess I’ll still join him and countless others in the eternal slumber that awaits us all.
That was beautifully said. Thanks you for sharing

Final post I can't come to this forum anymore!
by hoser ini have come to the conclusion that posting here and visiting this site is not healthy for me anymore.
i just get angry and upset when i read all the stories of injustice and corruption that go on in the jehovahs witness religion.
they are true no doubt, as i have personally experienced many injustices and abuses in my life from being a witness.

Do you think JWs are dangerous, if yes why? If not, why?
by suavojr inpersonally the jws to me are not dangerous.
on the other hand, many do think they are in fact a dangerous cult.
why are they dangerous?.

Wow Giordano, it so strange for me to think how you have been out for so long and yet nothing ever happened.
Giordano Said:
When you refuse to protect your loved ones because a leader says so you diminish yourself and destroy your family and are no longer worthy of respect. In plain terms this is the only life we have..........no one should throw it away over a false teaching made up by ambitous people.
When a father tries to save the life of his young child by using blood, you are labeled as the monster They just don't look in a mirror.

It is so obviously a lie......now
by snare&racket inonce the spell is broken, one you take a deep fresh breath outisde of the watchtower camp, the amazingly obvious realisation becomes clear.... of course this is a lie, of course this is ridiculous!
you find you have memories of really believing the claims and promises, but it seems like another life, another experience.
it seems so incredibly false once you leave and it is very difficult to belive you even once accepted it!

Midweek Meetings no longer Necessary
by Tech49 ini am sure we have all seen the recent letter to the boe concerning the change that will take place to the meeting arrangement during the week of the co visit.
to recap the basics: the meeting that usually contains the cong bible study (book study) and a co talk will be discontinued, publishers are encouraged to use their family worship night that week to cover book study material.. so here is a point that i think has been missed, or not even considered:.
if that particular meeting is hereby deleted from the schedule, the co and his wife will never ever have to participate in or go to another "book study", or "bible study" night again.

The CO will have less time to know the people but it has always been like that unless you attend a smal cong

I would be happy if they got rid of the boring 'cong bible study' but they would find a way to insert some other boring material

When a JW's life comes close to its end...
by suavojr intalking with a long time elder last night, was very revealing.
he has been a jw for over 60 years, a man that was incarcerated in cuba in his early 20s and faced great loss and suffering over his beliefs and for being born in a communist country.
this brave man is now brittle and low-spirited.. while nightfalls on his life, he is made aware the end is near.

I get what you are saying but some humans are just too gullible and are easily misled by people in authority. If you take the example of the person that I referenced in my OP, I know that although he is not sure why the ‘paradise earth’ is not here yet, the WT regime is better to him than the Castro’s regime.
We see the parallels between the two systems (Castro & WT) but for this person he thinks he has more liberty among the JW’s and he blesses the WT God for helping him and his family get through his ordeals. It is hard to break through such hard ice.
Nevertheless is it sad to see the dissonance in his eyes and the sad realization that his life is coming to end. I don’t feel that we should blame people for staying just because they just want to believe.
