Hey guys thanks for al the comments! I have only been to this convention for half a day. The reason my wife is not attending is because she had to travel outside the USA for family business and I made sure to buy her the plane tickets during our convention. It was to late for her to change her mind when she noticed the timing, naughty mini me lol.
Well tomorrow I will go like I did today during the lunch break and talk with some key people so they can keep their mouths shut when my wife comes back. The only issue is that my wife is coming back with her MOTHER!!! Oh no!! I love my mother in-law very much but she is very indoctrinated and this will not help my plans to escape the WT. Sooner or later I will have to face the music but for now I am just enjoying this weekend without the garbage the WT promotes.

Easy... Skip it!
But already I had people calling me asking where I was yesterday!!!! The system the JW's have in place can be compared to a communist regime , where everyone keeps a check on each other. If you are discovered to be out of line from the leader's ideals and agenda, you get a visit from officials with the power to make you disappear.
Anyway, this is my first convention that I am fully awake to the deceptions of the WT.
I skipped Fridays boring spiritual fest and today I arrived during lunch time. I came with no suit, just with slacks. shirt and tie. I decided to keep a low profile and sat all the way in the back. WoW! This is the first time I have noticed so many people that just come to either appease his/her conscience, to make family happy, or just to socialize. I also noticed the forgotten ones, the ones that do not attend for prominence nor praise from other men. The ones who are humble people, who think they are doing what God wants.
They promised a historic convention but it is just the same unhealthy food being served.
Here is just one example of what the Watchtower put in their foods.
The unhealthful ingredients in WT's food (straight from the JW website)
bleached history (truth removed)
food starch-modified (likely genetically-modified) this helps with the stability of the org against excessive heat from dissenters.
dextrose (sugar) gives JW's energy to keep going.
partially hydrogenated literature with cottonseed oil with mono-and diglycerides, (trans fats) helps with the taste.
TBHQ, tertiary butylhydroquinone, a petroleium dervived product, this helps with the shelf life of "new light"
Dimethylpolysiloxane added as an antifoaming agent (a form of silicone used in cosmetics, and Silly Putty). This helps with doubts and repels apostate thinking.
In conclusion, when you go to the Regional Convention of the Jehovah's Witnesses, you are:
Attending to harm your own health;
your children's health;
reducing your quality of life because the toxicity of eating synthetic spiritual chemicals will trigger illness;
put more money into the hands of the GB supporting their comfortable lifestyle. -

Pope Francis assures atheists: You don’t have to believe in God to go to heaven
In comments likely to enhance his progressive reputation, Pope Francis has written a long, open letter to the founder of La Repubblica newspaper, Eugenio Scalfari, stating that non-believers would be forgiven by God if they followed their consciences.
Responding to a list of questions published in the paper by Mr Scalfari, who is not a Roman Catholic, Francis wrote: “You ask me if the God of the Christians forgives those who don’t believe and who don’t seek the faith. I start by saying – and this is the fundamental thing – that God’s mercy has no limits if you go to him with a sincere and contrite heart. The issue for those who do not believe in God is to obey their conscience.
“Sin, even for those who have no faith, exists when people disobey their conscience.”
Robert Mickens, the Vatican correspondent for the Catholic journal The Tablet, said the pontiff’s comments were further evidence of his attempts to shake off the Catholic Church’s fusty image, reinforced by his extremely conservative predecessor Benedict XVI. “Francis is a still a conservative,” said Mr Mickens. “But what this is all about is him seeking to have a more meaningful dialogue with the world.”
In a welcoming response to the letter, Mr Scalfari said the Pope’s comments were “further evidence of his ability and desire to overcome barriers in dialogue with all”.
In July, Francis signalled a more progressive attitude on sexuality, asking: “If someone is gay and is looking for the Lord, who am I to judge him?”

very well said!
by alwaysthinking insome dates are important to set, like weddings, retirement parties, and vacations, but not the date of the return of jesus.
jesus said that "no one knows.
" i've never really understood why something so direct and so simple could be so abused.. quoted from http://god-and-logic.blogspot.co.nz/2011/05/where-is-promise-of-his-coming.html.

You got it all wrong, Jesus words had a fulfilment during his time but a greater one for our time.
