by suavojr intoday is saturday and you all know what that means.
today is the day for our special worldwide event of our new tract number 38. luckily our (sales route) sorry... our preaching was rained out.. now you may ask how can i stomach the wt propaganda and be able to take the group out in service, still give public talks, comment, etc?

Today is Saturday and you all know what that means. Today is the day for our special WORLDWIDE EVENT of our new tract number 38. Luckily our (sales route) sorry... our preaching was rained out.
Now you may ask how can I stomach the WT propaganda and be able to take the group out in service, still give public talks, comment, etc? Very simple answer, LOVE. Love for my wife and daughters, love for my elderly mother-in-law that will break her heart to know TTATT and the hope that one day my family might see TTATT just as I did once.
My parents are a lost cause but that is another thread...
You see, I don't owe the WT anything! I am going to play this mental game the same way they do. I am going to put up a nice poker face and bluff. I am going to use each opportunity to strengthen my senses and slowly help my family escape.
Today was an interesting day, woke up at 6am with a huge headache and took some aleve. At 6:30am my wife said, "let's go out preaching" so we did. 7:30am we are at a Walmart parking-lot. A car with some young brothers from our KH were already present. They went to eat at 7:42am. Never came back...
My wife and I stayed in the car profiling people to see if they looked hispanic lol. 8am my wife's best friend showed up and at 8:50am we went to Dunkin Donuts. It started to rain at 9am and therefore I took the sister back to her car and we all went home. My wife said when we got home, "how nice that we were able to preach for at least one hour" yet we did not speak with a SINGLE PERSON.
It sure is a life saving work.

I got an e-mail from an old friend who read my book
by Terry inhe told me he had left a review on amazon because he had just read my book.. now this you have to know about allan, he is a very precise person.. in his e-mail he said he was counting off "one star's worth" of approval because i had underlined where i should have italicized.. that gave me a good chuckle.
he is an engineer, after all.. .

You know what? This book sounds interesting Terry and I am sure you will not disappoint. The line: "Nobody can tell you the story the way it really happened, I'm going to tell it the way I remember it." Made me laugh... What, you did not have the holy spirit to recall every single detail? lol

Our first Halloween was amazing
by confusedandalone innot sure if this is the right forum, if not i apologize.. last night was our first halloween.
i have to admit, the very idea that somehow it is satanic and that it makes bible god cry seemed immensely foolish as we prepared for it.
my daughter was dressed as an undead witch and my son was dressed as thomas the tank engine.

Meanwhile..... in the house of suavojr. My wife preached only til 6pm and told me to come home early from work and avoid the darkness of Halloween. Close all the doors, windows and shut off the outside lights so no kids come asking for candy.
Then my wife says she is not superstitious and has Jeho's protection...

by Stand for Pure Worship ini suppose part of the fascination i have with this board is, the exotic nature of those making up the member population.
i say exotic because, as you yourselves will agree with, folks such as yourselves don't hang around the christian congregation for long upon making the decision that truth is not for you.
(rom 1:25) this "fading" thing spoken of here likely plays a role into why christians such as me find the average ex-jw to be a bit fascinating.

The college newspaper article from 1989 that got me kicked, at last
by Suraj Khan inmany months ago, i shared the experience of my removal from jehovah's witnesses.
to quickly recap, i had faded from meetings as an unbaptized publisher starting at about age 14 and had later decided to attend college against the wishes of my family.
as i liked to write stories, i sought a job at the college newspaper and became a columnist.. i brought some of my newspapers home during the winter break of my sophomore year, the one time i visited my parents during college.

I know you miss your family and many of us here can relate. Please consider that if they can only offer you conditional love then at the is not real love. This realization hurts but it is better to face reality than to live in a fake world.
