When I first started to read about all of the sexual abuses within the borg and all the cover-ups just save face, I could not believe it. But your case like many others is a powerful testimony against this evil JW Cult.

A hearth wrenching story, I wish you and your loved ones nothing but the best. Monsters like Dennis deserve a cozy cell in a county jail and maybe get some prison caressing.

i recently heard a story from a jw about stupid scientists.

there was an awake article about archeaologist who found an ancient piece of art.

it was sent to a university for dating.

Using a nuclear explosion as a picture can get people to read it, because we know that mankind has the capability to do this. Another possibility is the belief that using a nuclear weapon would expedite Armageddon, since God would have to intervene and prevent the human species to get exterminated. The record shows how unlikely any deity will take action and prevent this from happening, but religious fundamentalist still crave for the idea of a swift and speedy execution of anyone who does not support their religious dogma.

it was recently that i found out that my dad was a paedophile while reading a post on this site (shocker to say the least), but out of something so awful a good thing has occurred.

some on here will know my backstory about how my loving jw parents disowned, but i digress.

thanks to that post i am now in contact with my sister who unbeknown to me is a member of this site and saw my response on the thread about my dad.

I just read your first post and welcome. I personally loved this particular statement, "I now have real friends, those that wont go if we dont agree and i am HAPPY something i never felt in the borg."
You can have an instant friends club when you join the JW's, but having true friends who stay even if you don't agree on everything is simply priceless.

Letter From My Elder Uncle

ok guys, this is long, so i am sorry, but i think it is important to publish.

this is a glimpse into a 4 page letter (love that song) from my uber elder uncle.

as some of you may know i got tired of being in an email chain and finally lost it and lashed out.

This elder (your uncle) reminds me of Jesus words in Matthew 23:15
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you traverse sea and land to make a single proselyte, and when he becomes a proselyte, you make him twice as much a child of hell[c] as yourselves.
You can tone down your response or simply don't say anything and make him wonder. You have full control and not any religious leaders. What I got from his letter is the fear and sadness he feels about sickness, death and complex problems that we cannot fix.

Let me explain, apathy has taken over a close family that my wife and I care about. The cognitive dissonance within this family is HUGE. They have 4 young kids and the oldest has quit all meetings and no longer is a publisher, the remaining 3 are bored out of their minds in the meetings and the lengthy indoctrination sessions are not working on them.

The dad refused to give his #3 talk this past Wednesday, he skips field service, he is missing meetings and I was told he does not want to come back to the meetings at all. Unfortunately the wife is suffering and confused, and they have been marked as Spiritually WEAK.

What has shocked me about this ordeal, is that even though I know TTATT and understand that JW's are a cult. I also know how the GB hides pedophiles to save face, how df'ing is inhumane, the cover-ups, the lies, the deceit, etc... and yet! I still felt sad to the point of getting teary eyes over this situation.

This proved to me that mind control has a strong hold over a person’s identity, it truly is destructive. Furthermore it takes time to deprogram from this so called “JW TRUTH”
Do you still feel like this? Did it take a long time for you to deprogram?
