  Thank you everyone for your kind comments. Sadly, I won't be going to the funeral. It's just too far too quick and I cannot miss that much work.

  My last post for the night. He had a gift for singing. But he struggled and his achievements were most regional in the music area. I am trying to think of a way to get to his funeral; except I started a new job seven months ago and I think I could get off; but the funeral is over 600 miles away and the nearest airport is 3 1/2 hours drive from the town. So I don't know if I'll go or not...
