  had two lovely jws (stephen and ruth) visit this morning.

  this was our second study in the last 2 weeks.

  they first knocked on my door (bell is out) 3 weeks ago and i shared my testimony and we arranged to meet last tuesday which we did.. our first study went like this:.

  Reading The Bible Again After Leaving

  im pretty much an open book, but my critical mind is very alert to bullshit.

  but anyway i decided to re-read the bible with a non jw filter.. i researched online first which is supposed to be the best translation out there.

  Does anyone else squirm uncomfortably in disbelief?

  as we know, every month on the "official broadcasting" presentation, a new "music video" is presented.. can these possibly be any more cringe-worthy??.

  the words, music, singing are so, so bad....i mean, so bad!.

  surely witnesses are not so stupid that they don't harbor secret feelings of awkwardness when they see these?.

  The Mormon,s have one of the best choirs in the world and this rendition almost gives goose bumps. I do give them respect because of their music. Thats all. I quietly set this choir up on our 70" TV and when my still in relatives are over, this is playing in the background, quietly. They all comment how beautiful it is and remember the movie, but then I burst their bubble and tell them , its the Mormons and they don't want to watch anymore. For 1 minute Im able to crack thru their mental blindness and they can see the world clearly, at least for a minute or 2.

  Did you ever feel like this?

  i'm thinking in emigrating... i feel like i'm stuck here in chile, and going likely to canada (i have my aunt and cousins there, full citizens) is like a real option by now.... i feel like i'm stuck and that in a best scenario i will be starting at the bottom of the pit, with about 75.000 (usd) in university debt (from 3 different sources) that won't go away easy, broken family, unstable relations with my mother, i think that i've almost got over the jw issue, but the consequences on my life being a born in are severe.... this saturday will be my second appointment with the therapist, i'm trying to figure out how to put things in order by now, my due date is december, to make any decisions... i finished almost to 5th year of dentistry, roughly 2 years remained but couldn't handle the family struggle, suicide attempts, getting out the wt, 4 house moves in 3 years, my father not paying a nickel for the university... i supported my mother to my own detriment, she's coming out of borderline personality disorder and i think she's a lot better but im tired... .

  ...as i'm "almost" a dentist i work from time to time with some patients (friends, ex-univsity patients), i've done a lot of crowns, surgeries, fillings etc to earn some money at my brother in-law clinic)... but i got kicked out of university for failing to complete some clinical requirements because of lack of patients in the previous courses, i just hadn't the force to try harder... studying was clearly not a priority by then, and as i used to be a good student just didn't know all the rules about failing courses... well that is, i just wanted to vent a little....

  in paragraph 2 of this study, the gbojw evidences once again that they are sticking to the absurd 1914 doctrine – “when the last days of the present system began...”.

  i noted that as 2014 approached, the gbojw became somewhat reticent about making reference to revelation 12:12 – the “short period of time” scripture.

  so this study is the first one in a long time in which both the 1914 doctrine and revelation 12:12 are mentioned in the same study.

  Seems like the GB is preparing to unveil the next "big" news that The Spiritual Ark of the Covenent has been found and placed in their headquarters in NY and only the big 8 are allowed to gaze upon it. They will open it and start revealing to the great crowd, a new date of say 2025 and all who question will be DA,d. Kinda like gideon,s horns circling the wall and blowing them away with the noise. I would not put it past them to try a stunt like this to firm up those left "in", because as you look around inside their halls, the numbers are shrinking, don't see any new faces, and old ones dying off.

  Generation expiry date?

  how long will it take for a jw to see that even the overlapping generation is wrong?.

  the org waited and waited to see if their interpretation of it came true.

  those alive in 1914 would still be alive obviously it didn't and jws have to believe in an overlapping generation.

  Most will not leave even if Jehovah himself came into the room and told them, he has tricked them all. Just read PS 90:10 where if 80 you are strong and then you fly away...wait, did any one notice the 2 last words, it says you fly away! How can you fly away if you are unconsince and in the earth. Oh, just another sentence that shows that they misinterpret everything.
