  Can any believer make a case for the superiority of faith over knowledge?

  i find it curious why so many here on this site, in the face of factual evidence for things such as evolution and the impossibility for anyone to make a coherent interpretation for the bible, would still prefer faith to knowledge?.

  can any believer attempt a defence of this position?.

  if you go to their bible at genesis 18: starting at verse 3 you will read that abraham sees jehovah yep sees him, with a couple of other men (angel's) then talks to him about getting water to wash his feet.

  then he runs to sarah and talks to her about preparing food for jehovah.

  so let me get this strait abraham sees jehovah face to face, jehovah has feet and apparently likes to eat human food too.

  If you ever watched "The Waltons" the story line is very similar, the wife is a believer and her husband is unbelieving. One episode the wife finally gets her husband to go to church and the preacher starts to talk about unbelievers like him. He got so mad he turned red and stormed out of there. She always treated him with respect though and the show showed how people of different beliefs could get along. The world is full of couples like that.

  there,s a lot out here like you. I don't go out to dinner any more cause my partner takes it as an opportunity to annoy other patrons with passing out silly tracks. I loose my appetite and just start looking at my iPhone like everyone else . sad

  What's a word that describes the way Witnesses behave as a group?

  i can't recall the word that describes a group that keeps to itself like the witnesses do.

  i thought it was "insular" but i don't think that's the one i'm looking for after reading the definition.

  i remember an elder using the word "clannish" and that has the proper definition but it reminds me of a group of elves.

  beatles, rolling stones, led zeppelin, hendrix.

  i started getting slighted for the music i listened to as i lay in my bedroom listening on headphones to led zeppelin's song " black dog " at age 14 with my elder dad looking suspiciously at me as i'm rocking out .

  to me honestly this would of been prohibited 10 years ago, but now every dub is obsessed with this website, it's everywhere even a damn iphone cover... ooh they don't approve of idolatry ooh no they don't accept cross veneration thats bullshit to me!!!

  its getting to a point that they are venerating this website (company logo) it's their version of the cross.
